Nestled within 52 acres of flora and fauna, the Tallahassee Museum is an oasis close to the heart of downtown. The Tallahassee Museum features a working 1880s pioneer farmstead, native Florida wildlife habitat (including panthers and red wolves), cypress swamp, Jim Gary's 20th Century Dinosaurs, and the all new Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures (an outdoor zip line and adventure course for kids and adults). Come enjoy the great outdoors with us at the Tallahassee Museum- where nature, history, science, and fun come together!

There truly is something for everyone at Tallahassee Museum - history buffs, nature/animal lovers, thrill seekers and little people. The word "museum" is misleading, as this attraction is mostly outdoors and includes habitats of native wildlife (EX: Florida panther, bears, otters, eagles, etc.), an 1880's...More

Went with my teen. She had some trouble mastering the zip line but enjoyed it. Then we walked around and really loved viewing the animals along with the other exhibits. We especially loved the otters. If you go to Tallahassee you should stop here

The kids loved the animals, but it was very hot. My grandchildren are not tall enough to go on the zip line. The gift shop had some cool things in it. We did not visit the cafe. The Dinosaur exhibits made out of car parts...More

We enjoyed every step we took exploring the history of African Americans, from slavery to the 20th Century, including an authentic school, church , slave quarters and plantation kitchen. Then, we enjoyed viewing a myriad of animals from the area.

Great place to visit. Lots of different exhibits and animals. The tree to tree adventures is awesome! The history of the area comes alive here with a working blacksmith shop and old homes and buildings. I have been coming here for 40 plus years and...More

Don't think of this as a stuffy building filled with history exhibits, they call it a LIVING museum for a reason. It is filled with native wildlife, natural beauty, Florida history exhibits and all sort of education stuff and also the "tree to tree adventure"...More

We visited the museum on a Saturday afternoon and there was a birthday party being hosted and there were groups using the ropes course. My suggestion is to purchase the membership because you will want to revisit this attraction multiple times because often the animals...More

service dogs are typically very well-behaved and I would think it should not present a problem. As long as you have the proper credentials I don't think they can refuse you entrance.
