Nice relaxing day

Spent the day just relaxing & studying for an exam...the beach was kind of weird though...the water was VERY warm & had little tiny green balls floating in it...

It was very beautiful and quiet. Me and my children got some nice pictures there. It was nice to get out of the hotel and see this place I'm glad we went.

My wife and I went to the gardens for the morning. We found it very relaxing and peaceful. It was an easy walk on a brick path. There were no steep hills to climb. Sadly we were there in August and there were no flowers to enjoy. But the grounds were quite well kept. Also on the bright side there... More

I entered Maclay Gardens State Park with a friend for a walk. I had never been there before and was quiet pleased with the park and its features. i three simple words, "It was Beautiful". I found it to be well taken care of with pristine gardens and flowers everywhere. The trails were easy to follow and the views were... More

This beautiful state park is located close to shopping and restaurants, but once inside, you feel the quiet beauty of nature all around you. The first section of the park contains a picnic area, a playground, bathroom facilities, covered pavilion, and a small beach along the shore of Lake Hall. The lake is great for canoeing and kayaking. At the... More

We went here a few months back to have a fun walk for mothers day. The gardens will take your breath away!! Such lush greens, and pretty flowers. Right on the lake, the estate will just make you want to take it all in. My favorite part were the old brick roads trailing all through the park. Loved it and... More

I live in Tallahassee and purchase a pass annually for this and other state parks. It rivals Japanese gardens in big cities, but it features mostly local plants and is more eclectic. There are paved brick roads and trails. The feature plants which grow very well in our climate are Japanese in origin, the camellia Japanica, azaleas and Japanese maples.... More

Nice park to get a walk in. Trails well kept & easy to follow paths. Clean restrooms. Lake looked nice too but only drove by ramp.

This was my top favorite thing I did while in Tallahassee. It is handicap/stroller friendly. Maclay Gardens is a portion of the State Park and you will have to pay a small fee to enter the park. I think it was around $6. You will be able to drive from the park entrance all the way to the entrance to... More
