Visited Maclay Gardens while in town for a business trip. While the peak azalea bloom had unfortunately passed (I visited in mid April), it was still a great place to walk around and bird watch. I also visited the house, and had an interesting talk...More

I've been here several times in different seasons and have enjoyed it every time. There is always something in bloom and birds and wildlife to see. The trails meander through planted gardens and natural areas. There are stone paths or you can go off the...More

Unfortunately, we visited when most of the flowering plants were all done including the Camellias and the Magnolias. But the grounds are still lovely and we enjoyed walking through them. We had a dog and could not walk with her in the Garden area. But...More

Visited on last day of March. Extra entrance fee because of blooming season, but there weren't a lot of blooms. Still, it's a lovely, quiet garden, a great escape from the city. Lots of young people/lovers and families visiting.

Absolutely beautiful! I arrived as the azaleas were beginning to bloom. Walk on the stone paths or grassy trails and discover hidden gems like the Secret garden or the reflection pool. Educational as well as relaxing.

We visited on our recent trip to Tallahassee, and took a walk in the Gardens and state park. The camellias and azaleas were pretty although I thought we would see more bulb flowers in bloom. The admission fee was $6 but worth it for a...More

Really enjoyed walking around the gardens and touring the house. Everything is in bloom now, and it was all beautiful. Every person that was working there, from the front gate on, was awesome! We totally enjoyed spending the afternoon there. Just a tip, there aren't...More

Maclay Gardens is a treasure and we are so blessed to live within walking distance of this beautiful place. The best time to go is when all the camelias are in full bloom. We went last weekend and the flowers are breathless and countless! And...More

Considered a state park, this has a minimal fee or you can use your state park pass (I think our family pass was 100 or around that for one year of access to all state parks in FL). Entry into the park is standard with...More
