About
We do Kayak Tours and Rentals in the Florida Keys. We offer a daily 3 hour paddle to and are the originators of the "Wayback Tour" wherein we take you and the kayaks on our boat way back into the most pristine and beautiful backcountry. We also offer rentals and "rent and ride" in which we take you out to a sweet spot in the backcountry and you paddle back down wind. We have many interesting and wonderful tours and don't forget about our Rentals and Full Moon tours...just ask for Captain Markus.

My friends & I wanted to rent kayaks for the week we were visiting the area. I left a message and was immediately called back I made arrangements with Captain Markus for the next morning. He dropped off 2 Kayaks, paddles, life vests at the RV park we were staying at. Gave each of us some basic information on the best way to get into and out of the kayak from the floating docks that were our access points to the canal. He then texted us both with charts of the area and maps of the local mangroves. He also gave suggestions on how to easily check the tides (they have 4 a day down here) Cpt. Markus was amazingly helpful! He was funny and friendly and very relaxed (as he should be we are talking about island life after all.). He picked up the kayaks at the end of the week. Everything was very easy, simple and the equipment was in excellent shape. I highly reccommend Cpt. Markus and this company. I will definitly use him next time I come to the Keys. It was a wonderful experience!

Experience was great! VERY impressed with our guide, CHRIS, and his knowledge of the Mangroves and just about anything in nature! He didn’t hesitate to answer questions and we had great conversations. Definitely coming back AND asking for Chris! 🙌👍🛶

Our guide Chris was amazing! Incredibly knowledgeable about the sea life, birds even the ecosystem of the mangroves. We learned a ton. Chris allowed us to hold and touch many of the little creatures and definitely found sea life that we would have missed. We saw jellyfish, starfish, sea cucumbers, many types of sponges and sea anemones as well as a couple young sharks and many birds (all of which Chris could name!).Fairly easy to paddle and the time flew by. We would highly recommend this tour!

We went out today on a self guided tour and had an absolute blast. The kayaks were dropped off for us and picked up. We also were provided information on where to see the most wildlife. I loved that they were willing to meet us and we even asked for them to come earlier. Highly recommended. Go enjoy nature without all the commotion. Thank you.

We rented two paddle boards from Captain Marcus, and we have nothing but great things to say. Marcus told us where exactly where to paddle to, and what we would likely see at each spot and we literally saw everything he told us we would see.. We spend almost 8 hours on the water and the only reason why we didn’t spend more, was because the sun was setting. We saw bunch of cool fish, sharks, birds, beautiful corals etc.. Do yourself a favor and call Captain Marcus and rent a kayak or paddle board, you won’t regret it. We will definitely be back.. And best of all, Marcus is just an awesome guy, lots of fun to chat with and knows his stuff.. Booooooom Florida Keys Kayaks and Eco tours, you rock 😊

Very responsive and flexible. Texted and secured a reservation easily. Marcus timed our tour with the tides. Chris was our guide. He is friendly, helpful, smart, and chill. The perfect guy to lead you around the back country on the water. We enjoyed mangrove tunnels and a variety of wildlife. The water is clear and beautiful. We had a great afternoon... best way to drift away.

Highly recommend Captain Marcus and his kayak rentals. He’s very personable, funny, and knowledgeable. Captain Marcus knew the area well, giving precise directions on where to go and what we might see or catch there. On our kayak trip we saw Lemmon sharks, a large ray, a turtle, and more fish than you can count! We will be renting from him again the next time we are in the keys. He also had great advice on where to eat after our trip (shout out to the Square Grouper’s New Joint lounge!).

I take a yearly vacation to the Florida Keys every year. One of the things I enjoy doing while there is get out on the water on a kayak and enjoy the beautiful waters. I always rent my kayaks from Florida Keys Kayaks and Eco Tours located in Summerland Key. Markus is the owner and is always the most professional, friendly, and hospital host. He delivers the kayaks right to my door and then picks them up when we are done. This year was a little different. I stopped by the kayak shack to let Markus know that we would be needing some kayaks soon and he wasn't there. His shop was closed up. I was super disappointed. Then I realized that I had his number and gave him a call. He is still in business folks! You just gotta call him and he will be happy to help you get out on the water. Thank you Markus for always coming through for us!

Keyaks has the best kayaks and services in the Florida Keys. We met Captain Markus over 3 years ago during our first kayak rental and have been extremely pleased with his kind, caring, reliable, and professional services. Each year we have contacted Markus and reserved a double kayak for our RV rental site at Bluewater Key Resort and it’s been there every time on time. Markus is helpful with any questions and the return process is seamless too. We have become good friends and as a professional wildlife and scenic photographer, I have enjoyed utilizing the kayaks for exploring and photographing the area scenery and wildlife. Our website and phone number is right there on TripAdvisor at the top of our page but if you go to our website here it is keyaks .
I location our phone number and everything else you need is right there call me if you have any questions at 305-395-2715. This is the first time anybody's had any issues trying to find us off of TripAdvisor. I'm going to look into this very strange
