- ragboatPasadena, Maryland71 contributionsMonk parakeets are gone.Monk parakeets are gone. Was so disappointed when bringing friends to show them off. Other birds , (crows, pigeons, starlings) have taken over. The park is a great place for picnicking and watching the boats and people. Plenty of free parking.Visited February 2021Written February 9, 2021
- photogirl1985Jensen Beach, Florida87 contributionsLove to picnic here at SandspritThis park is at the crossroads of the St Lucie River, Indian River, and the inlet with beautiful views, picnic areas, exercise trail and benches to just "sit". We love this park. There is a popular boat launch area too!Visited July 2021Written July 7, 2021
- Jan P10 contributionsGreat place to go for a relaxing experience!Have been there for a child’s birthday. Lots of space for big parties, There is a huge sprinkler system made just for the kids to run around in. It’s clean and well taken care of. You’re in for an enjoyable treat when you go there. Have been there several times and have always found it to be enjoyable.Visited May 2022Written July 16, 2022
- Michael M2 contributionsHoping for repairsThis park was one of the first places I was shown after moving to the area. I LOVED the boardwalk and the relaxing view. The November 2022 hurricane damaged the boardwalk. I went back to the park a few weeks ago (Feb 2023) and the boardwalk was still closed off for repairs. Gladly I would rank this 5* if the repairs are done.Visited February 2023Written February 25, 2023

- snorkelforever6Northville, Michigan19 contributionsA Beautiful Park!We come to Sandsprit Park every time we are in Florida. It's a great place to watch boats, have a picnic, and watch the birds. Today we finally saw 29 to 30 Monk Parakeets eating on the ground. They were also building nests out of sticks in the palm trees.Visited January 2019Traveled as a coupleWritten January 8, 2019
- Lisa CBoynton Beach, Florida12 contributionsAbsorb the BeautyThis is one of the best parks I have come across in this area. You have an amazing view of the Manatee Pocket and St. Lucie or Indian Rivers. Also, you can see out as it leads to the ocean. There are pavilions so that you can have picnics. There is also a fountain so your dogs can get a drink. Lots and lots of pelicans hang out waiting for the fishing boats to arrive. This is a wonderful place to spend relaxing and just enjoy watching the waterways.Visited February 2016Traveled as a coupleWritten February 12, 2016

It is a easy and enjoyable ride past the fishing docks, communities, boat marinas, and seafood restaurants. The park has open space, shaded areas, waterside sidewalks, exercise equipment, pavilions, benches, and even a fishing pier. A lovely park to walk with a dog. It is peaceful but often a train can be heard rumbling in nearby Pt Salerno. Private planes fly in at a sporadic pace and boats of all prices cruise by. Nice to take a lunch or a coffee. People are friendly and dogs are on leashes. Don't let you dog swim since water is polluted, the only downside to this adventure. Oh, it's safe to walk alone too.

A wonderful park on the St, Lucie River open to the public. Easy access, free parking and a fabulous vista. This park offers the opportunity to sit and watch the boats, birds and people. Also
enjoy the children's playground and or fish. Always clean and well maintained. A good place for the family to relax and have fun.
