Love to picnic here at Sandsprit
Jul 2021
This park is at the crossroads of the St Lucie River, Indian River, and the inlet with beautiful views, picnic areas, exercise trail and benches to just "sit". We love this park. There is a popular boat launch area too!

Bring protection against unleashed dogs
Apr 2021
Last week within an hour of being at the park I came across 7 unleashed dogs. The Sheriff refused to issue any citations.

Great place for lunch on a park bench
Feb 2021
We pick up soup, etc. at Natasha's and had a nice picnic lunch at the park. Lots of room to be separated from others. Good place for kids through old folks (us). We enjoyed watching boats and birds.

Monk parakeets are gone.
Feb 2021
Monk parakeets are gone. Was so disappointed when bringing friends to show them off. Other birds , (crows, pigeons, starlings) have taken over. The park is a great place for picnicking and watching the boats and people. Plenty of free parking.

What a great place to just sit and enjoy the view
Jun 2019 • Family
I love this park simply because family has been coming here for many years from the Midwest. It is a really beautiful place to sit and reflect or just watch the people fishing. It’s great for a walk around to get some exercise too.

Great Site
Mar 2019
This is a peninsula with water all around. Some of the land is for a marine station, but the bulk of the space is an open park. There is a boat launching operation, where fishermen launch and retrieve boats -- and where they clean their catch -- fighting off the pelicans. It is all great watching!

AWESOME spot to watch boat traffic
Mar 2019 • Couples
Sandsprit Park is a really great place to go and see a LOT. It's at the mouth of the River and Manatee Pocket. The boardwalk is a great place to go and watch all the boats go in and out. It's a pretty high boat traffic area.

There are plenty of benches and pavilions to sit a spell. Lots of parking. Bathrooms are okay, but you can never expect much out of a public park's bathroom.

It's a nice spot and one of my favorite's so sit and watch the boats.

Public park on the water
Feb 2019 • Couples
A wonderful park on the St, Lucie River open to the public. Easy access, free parking and a fabulous vista. This park offers the opportunity to sit and watch the boats, birds and people. Also
enjoy the children's playground and or fish. Always clean and well maintained. A good place for the family to relax and have fun.
