The Lyric is definitely a good place to see a show. The acoustics are quite good considering it was not designed as a music venue but as a movie theatre in 1926. The stage is a bit small and when you have a band with lots of members it can seem a bit cramped.

The recent makeover is excellent. The lobby area is nice with a new bar and I believe that there are new seats in the auditorium.

There are a few things that keep me from giving it a higher rating. First, they charge $1.50 to mail tickets to you. While not much, it represents about 3 times the actual cost of mailing tickets.

Second, they still enforce an archaic "no picture" policy. It was funny to see Vince Gill ask one of his other bandmates about it while on stage. If the band doesn't care about photos (without flash of course because flash annoys everyone), then why should the theatre? If there is one thing worse than someone whipping out a huge modern cell phone to snap a photo, is ushers going through the aisles to tell them they can't.

We were a group of six going to the Lyric Theater for the first time to see the Peter White Christmas Show.

Besides the show being excellent, we were very impressed with the theater! It's small enough so that there is really not a bad seat in the house. What I particularly appreciated is that the sound was good and properly monitored. They also have a nice little bar/refreshment area. You can enter the theater from both the front and back - very convenient for parking locations!

We saw the Peter White concert and sat upstairs in the balcony. The seats are very wide, as well as comfortable with plenty of legroom. The theatre is small but very cozy. The acoustics are great so any musical show or concert has excellent sound. We enjoyed our show and will come here again.

I love the Lyric as it is cozy, comfortable and beautiful and you get a great view of the show no matter where you sit. We went to see John Mayall perform and it was spectacular as he could interact with the audience and the whole show felt so much more personal.

Saw the Chicago tribute band here and I thought they were excellent. This is a really small venue and to be playing loud music like that in a theater this small amazed me that it really wasn't that loud at all. Acoustics were great! We sat in the balcony and didn't feel far from the stage at all. In fact, I don't think they'res a bad seat in the house.

A very nice, intimate venue. Great acoustics, newly remodeled with comfortable seating. I don't think there could be a bad seat from the main floor. Did not get up to balcony to see how the view was from there. Bar had a wide selection, nice restrooms. I heard some locals say the lobby and theatre had more character and charm prior to the remodel, but this is on the National Historic Register and hopefully they can bring back some of the old charm as funds become available.

My wife and I attend a number of various performances each season. The Lyric is truly a gem, intimate but acoustically sound. There are shows for every taste. We became members to help it keep in operation

We traveled across the state to Stuart, Fl, to see Albert Cummings at the Lyric Theatre. The acoustics of this small venue are exceptional. Albert rocked the house. What a great music venue! If you are close enough to be able to see shows at this venue I suggest going often. We will make the trek again for another favorite band.
