Stumbled on this place. Look for the Steinhatchee Falls sign or you might miss the road. Dirt road so if you are in a car, drive slow. Great place to launch your canoes. Nice hike on the loop.

Fun, fun, fun and the locals are so friendly and helpful. The kids had a ball searching for scallops and we had fun watching.

Steinhatchee falls is a park maintained by the state. There is a boat ramp on site for small boats, canoes and kayaks. Picnic tables are available and some are covered. It's a great place to spend a few hours or the day. Hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, rafting, horseback riding are all allowed at the park. Many old protected cypress trees can be seen here. You can launch your canoes and kayaks at the ramp and float down river a few miles to Steinhatchee or bring the kids for a picnic and swimming in the river. Deer, turkey and many of Florida's birds can be seen in the area.. A great place for a family outing.

I would not really call these falls, but we are in Florida and I guess these are special. It is a nice park that has places to eat and hang out. Relaxing.

Such a pretty and unexpected place. The falls was very nice, not real big but unexpected in this rural location.

Fun simple day by the river. Picnic tables and pavilions. Simple Florida fun. BBQ grills but limited parking so never really overcrowded.

This state maintained park is lovely as it still has the feel of old florida. Time slows here, so feel free to bring kids, cook out, kayak or swim. Old oaks amd cypress trees provide shade. Feels like another world. Please go.

This is a small park with free wntrance. Best if you can kayak; but good for a picnic spot. The water is not too dark and you could swim to the 35 inches falls. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the trash. People are such pigs! Not the fault of the park but there hasn’t been a clean up on the trails for a while

Great time! Beautiful and peaceful. 7 miles run starting at the falls. Water was high so enjoyed kayaking a few rapids adding fun with the peaceful drift of the river. Must do if in the area:)

We paddled from Steinhatchee Falls to the town of Steinhatchee. Excellent trip with great weather and water level just under 11' at the Cross City measure device was perfect.
