When everything is at its peak in blooming and health, this is a nice place to wonder through. With only donations of time and money keeping this place afloat, they are doing a great job. On Monday and Saturday they offer plants for sale in their showroom area. Depending on the timing, you can find great bargains and rarities. Normal inventory is still priced very reasonably. Staff knowledge is mixed, but there are people there that do have great knowledge of the plants offered. Informal place that feels like you are walking into someones home garden. Nice group of volunteers. Please stop by and take a look. It is free (donations are an non-pressured option).

This is a special place. The flowers and bushes are beautiful. The butterfly garden really is neat. You can just sit and enjoy the tranquility.

My son and daughter-in-law we're married in the garden. The day before, my husband and I took our granddaughter to the garden, about thirty minutes before everyone else got the for the rehearsal. We walked through and appreciated the beauty of the garden, the rain wall, the small water fall, the butterfly garden, the koi pond and more. It's a wonderful gift to your senses.

This free garden invites you to enjoy a quiet walk in lovely surroundings with your leashed dog, the only thing they ask is that you pick up after your pet. A perfect way to spend a Saturday morning!

This FREE ADMISSION attraction is a hidden gem in Hernando County FL. Located 1 mile off US 19 and Spring Hill Drive, get directions before coming. Plenty of free parking. Self guided exploration, staff may or may not be on site. This beautiful multi-acre garden offers vignette gardens of various compatible climates, each area specially landscaped with (usually) lush trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and garden features that offer peaceful repose. Benches are placed strategically for relaxing, reading, or thought. Clearly marked paths wind through the gardens, closed shoes are recommended for comfort and safety. Tall trees provide comfortable shade on hot days. No pavillion for rain protection - have to get back to your car for shelter from a storm. Take your camera or cell phone for pictures of scenes you might like to emulate on your own property, or to identify certain plants at your garden center. Picking, snipping, taking cuttings is frowned upon. Many Sundays, a small garden train can be observed running through one of the scenes. NOT TAXPAYER SUPPORTED. Operated by Hernando County Garden Club, with garden plant sales on some weekends during season, Check local papers or the internet. This out-of-the way place is a GEM, yet only blocks off the main streets!
