Lovely local beach. Very relaxed. Beach is man made but still well worth the visit. Safe swimming as very shallow. If you are lucky you can also see the dolphins fishing in the shallow waters. Good facilities (toilet, shower and snack hut). Car park is pay and display USD5 for the day. At weekends it gets very busy.

Pine Island Beach is a beautiful area to enjoy the Gulf Of Mexico. Sand is white and many palm trees. The water is shallow perfect for your children, kayaking and paddle boarding. Children's playground, pavilions plus bbq. There is also a place called Willies for food. Also great for sunsets.

This beach certainly has a long way to go to compare to Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach or some of the other fine beach's from Ft. Meyers north. But it does have a great Tropical Cafe that serves up really good food.

Beautiful drive to this beach. Well maintained. Nice place to view Dolphins. There is also a nice place to eat or get drinks at this beach. Lots for kids to do here too.

This is a very good beach for children because the tide is very far out and the depth is only a couple of feet even when you go a long ways from shore. There are no crashing waves which means the little ones are much safer. There's a lot of seaweed though and hermit crabs!! Parking only costs $5.00 for... More

The only official beach in Hernando County for the Gulf of Mexico. Very nice but clean and with grills, playground type toys, pavilions and a snack shack. Must pay for parking. :(

The water is warm and shallow for quite a ways out with a sandy bottom, great for little ones. We used a grill at one of the covered picnic benches. In addition to keeping the sun from scorching us, it kept us from getting drenched in the unexpected short but torrential rain storm. People of all ages were here. Willy's... More

We arrived early on a weekday and the place was deserted. And there were quite a few palm trees and pavilions with picnic benches if you want some shade. It was low tide when we went, so the swimming wasn't great, no deeper than a bath. But there lot of fish and I saw a bonnethead shark (small) so that... More
