I read that this beach is the best beach in the U.S., and yep, I believe it! My husband and I stayed in Venice for a few days and we had to make the short drive up to Siesta Key to check it out. We...More

We are used to going to New Smyrna Beach, on the Atlantic Ocean side of the state. This beach looked nice. The Gulf has much calmer water/waves. There was pretty good parking places, but the whole area is very busy and congested. I can't imagine...More

Unfortunately we visited on a Monday afternoon on a 60 degree day, however this beach is AMAZING!! Soft, white sand and a clean beach had views that went on forever. I wish it was warmer so we could have had a "true" beach experience, however...More

This beach has been rated America's #1 beach by Dr. Beach several times in the past few years. It is known for its soft white sand that feels nothing like sand you find on most beaches around the world. The beach is also extremely wide...More

This beach is great. There is tons of shopping and restaurants nearby as well as places on beach with huts serving snacks, beach volleyball, plenty beach for all that came to enjoy the Florida sun. Parking is free. Looking forward to returning!

Crushed granite sand...white...beautiful! They have a mat running from a lovely beach pavilion at Beach no. 1 so you can get right to the water without having to walk in the sand. Traditional life guard huts dot the beach. Very picturesque.

We have been coming here for over 20 years and I can still say it has the best sand in all of Florida! Soft, warm (but never hot) without all the annoying sharp bits of shells found at other beaches. The gulf coast waters are...More

Truly breathtaking beach probably the best we have ever visited. The water was lovely and warm and so calm I could allow my kids to paddle out and watch from the shore with my youngest. The sand was stunning. Parking was excellent and the shower...More

There is a reason the beach is rated #1 in the USA. It is beautiful, very walkable, and borders on the usually calm, tranquil waters that are there. At the public beach end of the crescent that forms the beach is the public beach with...More

No shops on the beach, you have to take a ride or walk into the village for that. There you will find a supermarket, restaurants, bars and the night life. The beach is gorgeous and perfect for a day with the family.

Big Water Fish Market and The Cottage were my favorites! Go for fish for lunch at Big Water Fish Market and dinner at the Cottage. On Friday nights The Cottage has a guitar duo on the back patio that's very enjoyable.
