    So much to see!
Parked at public access #12. Very tight, but plenty of spots, a pain to get out with a truck but puts you in a great location. The beach is awesome! Not a long walk to the water which is nice, but my favorite part, and my kids as well was the variety of shells here. We went early afternoon, mid tide and their were so many things to see. This is our favorite part of going to the ocean; we found a lot of flawless shells and had fun seeing all kinds of critters! Definitely a spot we'll go back to!

    Awesome beach!
Crescent Beach was beautiful. The water was crystal clear, and near the Point of Rocks, the kids had a ton of fun exploring all the shells, oysters and sand dollars. The water was a bit too cold in December to brave swimming out to Point of Rocks, but I get to see it on the drone which was neat. Access point 12 was a good spot for parking. The local hotels do take over a large part of the beach, but in general it never was an issue for us.

    Beautiful but Popular Beach
Beautiful wide beach that is clean and easy to walk on. The fine soft powder sugar type sand is heavenly to walk on. The private beaches are not as crowded as the public ones. So be warned they are crowded as this is a popular beach destination.

Still Beautiful - But Less Beach Every Year
Still a beautiful beach, but there seems to be less of it every year. Now must swim rather than walk out to the point of rocks. Spotted a few dead fish floating. Resorts are asserting their property claims at the water line with signs, umbrellas and chairs... may have to walk around these.

We were here last year and loved it, came here again on June 14th. Around June 7th wknd, that was a major storm that brought tons of sea weed. Sarasota county decided to ignore it claiming it's a private beach and they'll get here, well, when they get here. It's been one week and smell is terrible, it's rotting. Don't come until Sarasota county takes maintaining their beaches seriously.

Pros: soft white sand, beautiful gulf.

Cons: Way too crowded, even in April. I definitely wouldn’t come here in the summer or over spring break. Very limited public beach, we ended up renting chairs on a private beach.

Spent week here with our kids and grandkids for spring break. Beach was within walking distance of our condo at Calini Beach. Excellent sand texture at the beach. Some crowding noted but hey…it’s spring break season. The fine sand is some of the finest beach composition you’ll find in this country. Take advantage of it if in the area or when weighing out your options.

Crescent Beach ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beach
in Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL, USA
Sylvia 3⭐️= average/good
To visit this beach you need to be staying or living in one Siesta condos, houses or hotels on this side if the island. There is no parking available just to visit Crescent. You’ll have to go to Siesta Beach to park. This beach is full of walkers mostly in the morning but all day long there are thousands of people walking. Each of the beach front properties are flagged off for their guests. You can bring your own chair if you’re staying across the street and sit waters edge. Remember to check the tides schedule for best time to go out. Red Tide (the algae bloom caused by chemical spills) is usually between April & November, smells like a toilet if wind is blowing toward the gulf, it’s ok. Look up Red Tide Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission for latest guidance. The plus of this beach the most beautiful sunsets and a great place if you like to pick up a shell or two as a souvenir.

We arrived Saturday for a three week stay. I certainly hope the water clears up soon ,because we are very disappointed! We were here probably 30 years ago and it was beautiful now it’s dirty grey and muddy looking.
Hope we can go back to Cancun, Mexico next year.

Great if you love crowds, sandflies, and seaweed. Try to go before they bring out the chairs, or after they take them away, or else it's suffocating. Definitely bring or rent a chair to get you up off the sand, because the flies are insane. The water itself is nice, and the sunsets are pretty, but... not pretty enough.

This beach can be very narrow but it stretches quite far and into Siesta Key beach. It is my favorite beach as it is so clean and has white powdery sand. This beach is all private which is really nice. I feel safe in this area. I stay on this beach every year and have been coming to the same location on the beach for 8 years now. I would highly recommend!

Not worth trip. If you don't stay in one of the places that "own" the beach, good luck finding a place to park or sit on the beach. Walked through a narrow mucky puddle to access a carved path on beach packed with empty private chairs & umbrellas for rent. Public could only sit where the water hits the beach or a pocket size section to left and right of carved sand path. Our party of 3 squeezed in between but left after a family of five literally had no place to spread a towel. Awful experience. Thursday btw, cannot imagine weekend.
