Spent week here with our kids and grandkids for spring break. Beach was within walking distance of our condo at Calini Beach. Excellent sand texture at the beach. Some crowding noted but hey…it’s spring break season. The fine sand is some of the finest beach composition you’ll find in this country. Take advantage of it if in the area or when weighing out your options.

Probably the nicest beach I've been to and that is a tall order. Wonderful shell collection, low key crowd, can rent umbrellas and 2 chaise lounges for $25 for the day and $12 for half the day. They pack up at 4 pm so get there earlier rather than later in the day. Nice beach to walk along.

I actually stumbled onto Cresent Beach by accident as I was guided by my iphone map. I walked through a beachfront property not knowing it was for the properties guests only. A guest informed me about it and I thanked her for the information. As I was about to walk away to head to Siesta Beach via the street, she unlocked the gate entrance to the private beach. How lucky was I. Cresent Beach was isolated and beautiful. I walked to Siesta Beach picking up shells then jogged to Sarasota Beach and back to Siesta Beach... to the exit and back to my resort. Absolutely beautiful experience!

Pros: soft white sand, beautiful gulf.

Cons: Way too crowded, even in April. I definitely wouldn’t come here in the summer or over spring break. Very limited public beach, we ended up renting chairs on a private beach.

Crescent Beach ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beach
in Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL, USA

To visit this beach you need to be staying or living in one Siesta condos, houses or hotels on this side if the island. There is no parking available just to visit Crescent. You’ll have to go to Siesta Beach to park. This beach is full of walkers mostly in the morning but all day long there are thousands of people walking. Each of the beach front properties are flagged off for their guests. You can bring your own chair if you’re staying across the street and sit waters edge. Remember to check the tides schedule for best time to go out. Red Tide (the algae bloom caused by chemical spills) is usually between April & November, smells like a toilet if wind is blowing toward the gulf, it’s ok. Look up Red Tide Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission for latest guidance. The plus of this beach the most beautiful sunsets and a great place if you like to pick up a shell or two as a souvenir.

We were here last year and loved it, came here again on June 14th. Around June 7th wknd, that was a major storm that brought tons of sea weed. Sarasota county decided to ignore it claiming it's a private beach and they'll get here, well, when they get here. It's been one week and smell is terrible, it's rotting. Don't come until Sarasota county takes maintaining their beaches seriously.

The white soft sand and beautiful scenery are unlike other beaches. It’s a short walk to the water. The soft lure sand feels so good on your feet, it’s like walking on baking flour. Not many birds hovering over the people, which is a huge plus! This beach is so relaxing and quiet. The water is so clear and you can find unique shells at the waters edge. It is not crowded and the people are friendly and pleasant. The pics at sunset look amazing with the pure white sand below your feet the beautiful aqua water beneath the sun. This place has just become one of my top beaches. Reminds me of California beaches. Best keep beach I have seen!

We arrived Saturday for a three week stay. I certainly hope the water clears up soon ,because we are very disappointed! We were here probably 30 years ago and it was beautiful now it’s dirty grey and muddy looking.
Hope we can go back to Cancun, Mexico next year.

This beach can be very narrow but it stretches quite far and into Siesta Key beach. It is my favorite beach as it is so clean and has white powdery sand. This beach is all private which is really nice. I feel safe in this area. I stay on this beach every year and have been coming to the same location on the beach for 8 years now. I would highly recommend!

We had an amazing time! The white powdery sand was awesome. There was a little more seaweed than we expected, but we’ve heard and read this was uncommon. We rented a condo at Crescent on Crescent Beach and would definitely visit again. H. John Yilmaz in the management office on site was great! He’s very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and it’s history!
