I recommend downloading the map from the website, because the roads you can drive on loop around the bodies of water and it can get confusing. It took me a bit to find the walking trail, but once I did it's very well marked and maintained. Watch for wildlife. There are many facilities for picnicking and boating.

We have been walking everyday here on the two mile marked path. There are hundreds of different kinds of Florida plants, every bird species you can imagine, playgrounds, picnic tables, grills, rental bikes and paddle boats, a boat launch etc. It is right on Lake Seminole and is a refuge from noise and city life. I am hesitant to review it, in case too many people come, but I will share it with you if you promise not to tell anyone else. See you there?

Lake Seminole Park combines both natural looks and an urban touch, of sorts: you can drive around in the park, you can use the boat ramps, have a picnic, enjoy the scenic views, walk or bike. A lot of parking spaces are available. Pinellas Trail goes nearby.
The park is very-well kept, there are also birds in the lake - a nice photo opp! We didn't spend a lot of time in this park, but the visit was quite enjoyable.

Lake Seminole Park is a large shaded park on Lake Seminole with many large covered picnic tables, multiple parking areas and a boat launch ramp. Fishing access. Large open areas for recreation. Very good for the multiple bicycle riders who frequent the park. Always a good crowd here. Very well kept!

Deer fly population is so high that you’d better prepare to kill 2-5 deer flies a day. Typically I walk 2-6 miles a day here and have always experienced deer fly attacks every day. Attacks can be so persistent I even carry a hand towel to swat them away! Enjoy

What a pleasant trail for walking as well as biking, roller blading or skate. The park is full of trees and very quaint.
Can lounge boats from the park on Lake Seminole, water skiing. Draw back there are lots of alligators in Lake Seminole. Ideal park for family outing, plenty of picnic tables etc.

Yep! Fantastic! The walks, the wildlife, the facilities are all perfect! We go here all the time for picnics with groups. The tables are shaded and well maintained. It's super fun to ride bikes on the trails and you can launch your boat to!

Just was in the park 2 days ago. Took the 2 mile trail which is very nice. Lots of shade with a couple of viewing platforms. By the big pond there was an alligator 8-10 feet sunning on the shoreline. A real beast. Drove around and checked it out, lots of picnic areas, parking, washrooms, nice boat ramp. You can rent bikes and some sort of 4 wheel thing that 3 or 4 can ride on, pedal power. Lots of birds and on the day we were there no bugs. It was cooler but sunny. Nice place to burn up a couple of hours.

My wife and I visit a nearby Retirement community every week. We have taken my father-in-law to the park to eat lunch. He loved the experience. The county has worked hard to make this place a warm and inviting family park.

My husband and I come here to walk and view the Florida wildlife, once or twice a month. Every time we receive guests, we take them for a walk here and they always enjoy it. There is a 1 mile track and a 2 mile track. The walking track is mostly shaded, which is nice on a hot Florida day. Lake Seminole is in the middle of the park and the walking path passes by the lake. This lake supports many types of wildlife, like birds, ducks, rabbits, turtles and alligators. During the winter months when the lake water is cold, alligators come out on the sunny shoreline to warm up. Last week I was lucky enough to be able to take a picture (attached). We enjoy viewing wildlife in their natural habitat. There are washrooms, picnic areas and children's playground. Wear comfy shoes

any fish guides on lake?

Hi, not that I know of. Most people who fish here do not eat the fish as it has poor water quality - although Seminole has been trying to improve on that. You are really close to the beach so I'd suggest trying your hand at salt water fishing. But if you are determined to fresh water fish Lake Tarpon (farther north in Pinellas County) has a good bass reputation.

Are there any fishing guides available at lake?

There are no fishing guides at the park. It is just a nice place to fish on your own. But there are a lot of people fishing so they may be able to guide you to the best location in the park to catch some fish.
How is the kayaking at Lake Seminole Park?
Is it a no wake lake?
Are there a lot of motorized boaters in the area?
Thanks! VJR

Are RVs welcome to enjoy park

I am sorry, but there is no RV parking at Lake Seminole. It is mainly a "day" destination, but, it is well worth the time to go. Beautiful, natural, Florida scenery.
There are many RV parks in Pinellas County that will accommodate you. One in particular comes to mind and that is the RV park at "Ft. Desoto". Although it is not that close to Seminole park, the beaches there have been ranked in the top 10 several times in the past. A great park to stay at.

I don't think there is any over night camping here. It is a day use park.
