I can't tell you how many times we have passed by this place and not even known it existed. Just the other day my wife and I were looking online for crystal mining places close to home and were surprised to see there was one so close to us in Florida! (Next closest would be North Carolina) We are so... More

Second time with the kids here, and everybody had a lot of fun. It's simple: you choose your bucket and you start looking for gems and crystals. The kids get so excited to find nice ones, the Greenman will explain you exactly what you found and which ones are really valuable and rare. He will provide bottled water, umbrellas to... More

We drove several hours to take our 7 year old son "Mining". After a detailed explanation of the different buckets (Large variety, something for everyone) we dug in. The variety and quantity of the different stones and crystals was unbelievable. My wife and I were quite literally shocked (We remembered "Panning for gems" as kids in the mountains and getting... We go every winter when in the area. The kids love it and ask all year long when we are going back! Super friendly staff and knowledgeable about gems and stones. Plan on coming back next year again!

We drove 2 hrs to get to this location and it was well worth the drive. He was very knowledgeable on rocks and gems. He took time to actually answer questions and seemed like he loved teaching us what things were and a good use for them. We have been to several gem mining places in North Carolina and South... We love to visit local Florida places of interest. The Lost Mines of Atlantis was great. The owner was very knowledgable about all the stones and crystals as well as the items for sale in his shop. You pay for a bucket and pan it in a screen in the water- similar to gold panning but you get a much... More

I would like to say my sister and I have been coming to the Green Man for over 10 years now. Jim the owner is such an amazing man and we love to come and visit Trixie and skipper. Jim is very very knowledgeable and very helpful in any of our needs. We highly recommend going to visit his store....

Just left the rudest person in a service industry I have ever met. Showed up at his business at 3:30 PM, Website says he is open till 5PM. The "gentleman" tells us that his server has crashed, which is his real business and he was closing to go home. My wife asked if he was open tomorrow? He proceeds to... More

There is a $10 fee to watch, it is a deterrent for crowds of watchers. It is to watch, not help, not share. Only if everyone has a bucket can you share. This is all very clear on the Web-site which is my only advertising. I've been in business in the same location for 18 years and there is no... More

Brought our 8 and 10 year old grandsons to pan for gems. It was a wonderful experience. They said it was the best day ever. Even the adults had a wonderful time. They are begging to go back again. Definitely a must do
