We’ve been visiting this area for over 20 years and never knew this place existed. Off an unpaved road, easy parking. There was plenty of shade to take a break in summer. We bought $10 worth of cold carrots and apples from the porch area to feed the animals. They were very happy to eat them all! We especially loved talking to the parrot Murphy. Had the pleasure of holding new kittens and bunnies. Our four teens loved it! Actually we all loved it! We love animals!

I couldn’t wait to visit this farm after reading the other reviews. I am typically suspect about animal venues but these animals appeared healthy and their living areas were very clean. The food you can purchase was fresh and good for the animals. I also loved the reading library. If a child reads 20 books, they get a free pony ride. That warmed my teacher heart. Loads of kids having a fabulous time. There are many sinks with soap located around the farm and also plenty of hand sanitizer. The volunteers and staff were all friendly and polite. I had a fabulous morning! Where else can you feed a zebra? Don’t miss the lovely calves. So beautiful.

We recently visited Sebastian and were looking for something to do with our young grandchildren ages 1, 3 and 5. Under trip advisor, I read about LaPorte Farms. Not a lot of people were familiar with this little gem of a place. Using our GPS, we decided to check it out and give it a try since there is not much to do for kids in the area except going to the beach and fishing at Sebastian Inlet. We were so impressed with the place! We found a large variety of animals, a very cleean, well kept place and a beautiful and serene atmosphere. The animals are very well taken care of as well as the grounds. The staff is super friendly and bring the animals to you to pet. There are hens, roosters, baby chicks, a chicken coop, a zebra, llamas, goats, pigs, ducks, all sorts of interesting birds including parrots and sun conures, ponies, donkeys, a beautiful swan swimming in a lovely pond, marmosets, geese, turkeys, pheasants, a beautiful butterfly house and many more gorgeous animals. There are pony rides for a $5.00 fee. What else can I say except that we can't wait to be back with more family members. There is not an entrance fee per say, but there is a box discreetly placed for a very well deserved donation. One can pack a lunch and bring it. This is something we will do next time. It is such a beautiful, peaceful place. One can sit back, relax and enjoy listening to the roosters' cockadoodledos. They will be having an Easter egg hunt this April, I think on the 19th. Trust me on this one, don't leave Sebastian without a visit to this little piece of heaven.

Our times at La Porte Farms have been second to none!! My daughter Sophia has visited the wonderland many times over and each time is a new experience for her. This place is a real diamond in the rough. We are always greeted with open arms and welcomes from the gracious hostess Laura La Porte who has done endless charitable fund raisers for every cause under the sun. She is a true living saint for her works with Cancer and other none profit organizations. When you go to the farm the admission is purely by donation which tells me that if you are low income you are every bit as welcome as the next! This is a self guided tour of farm animals and beautiful gardens and ponds. La Porte Farms was built on one women's dreams and passion for others to enjoy.

Laporte Farms is a wonderful small farm with lots of great animals. Our grand daughters loved the close contact with the animals. The staff are just wonderful and so accomodating. They had a great pony ride and got to hold some chicks. The property is beautiful and the animal enclosures are very clean. It is obvious the animals are well loved and cared for. Fee is by donation only. It is a terrific place to spend some time and enjoy the wildlife.

I live in Sebastián and I can’t tell you how long I lived there with little ones, and had no idea the farm existed!
My 8 year old daughter and 4 year old daughter absolutely LOVE the farm and so do I !
Laura the owner is often seen around the farm. She lives on the property. It just amazes me how she opens up her heart and farm to the community.
There are a lot of animals there. You can ride a pony, see turtles, rabbits, goats, pigs, birds etc.
There are donation boxes throughout the farm to help with the cost of caring for the animals, but that is optional.
This is NOT the Brevard Zoo however it’s also not 30 dollars per person to get in... its free!
There is a little gift shop there, and picnic tables if you decide to pack a lunch.
Laura does something special for the children throughout the year at her farm, including fishing tournaments, back to school drives, Easter, Halloween and Christmas events.
She even allows people to get married on the farm.
I’m So thankful for Laura and the farm. It’s a nice little local day trip getaway and with my oldest wanting to be a Veterinarian when she gets older, it helps her to appreciate animals and to see how much time and energy is put into the animals on the farm.

I absolutely love this place. I truly advise everyone to make a family day trip and support this place. Its free to get in but they take donations and honestly everyone should give something. They have animals there and my kids loved it. We went during Thanksgiving time and then again during Christmas time and it was decorated lovely. It was as great place to take family pictures and just enjoy a day out. They do several events throughout the year and I would recommend checking some of them out. Go out and enjoy this hidden gem!

The place maybe was something, but not anymore! One pony going in circles in his little corral with no one on him, head down to the dirt. Their country store is a joke, dusty, unmonitored, mostly empty, horrible be-jeweled handbags. Two many birds in each cage! Not one employee knew anything about what the events of the weekend were! They all sat on the porch on their phones. Won't ever go back.

I had friends who had visited here and had been trying to bring my kids for some time. We finally got here (it is about a 50 minute drive from our home) and when we first arrived I wasn't sure it was worth the trip from the small appearance of the place. I was so pleasantly surprised. We spent the entire day, until close. It is just pure, simple family fun. There were one day old baby goats that my kids were able to hold, pony rides, a butterfly house, birds, horses, tractor rides, and other small farm animals as well as a gift shop where you can buy some homemade jams, sauces, fresh farm eggs, souvenirs, etc. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and my kids just reveled in the simplicity of it all. There is no fee for anything, simply donation boxes placed throughout the farm where you can make a donation. There is not food to purchase but picnic lunches are allowed and welcome and there are places to sit and eat. It was such a fun day. We will return again for sure!
