We visit SEASIDE at least once a year and the SUNDOG always on the agenda. Very unique and interesting bookstore and gift shop & greeting cards & never fail to come away with a bag full. Be sure to include in your visit to SEASIDE even if just a "stop and see"

I always make sure when I visit the area to reserve time to browse/shop at Sundog. It is just the best beach bookstore ever in my opinion. The selection is great (it looks like a small store outside but they were able to pack alot of options in this little space). My children love the kids section and usually walk... More

Okay, I am a bibliophile. Wherever I go a book store calls my name. Sundog Books is everything a small, locally owned bookstore should be. Fabulous selection (their southern fiction section is one of my favorites), very knowledgeable staff, everything from national bestsellers to local authors and everything in between. Terrific gift items and card selection - and more books... More

Sundog has a ton of local literature and plenty of good guys for the beach or bungalow. A healthy selection of all the typical categories found in any bookstore plus some rather unique choices keep me coming back. Make sure to head upstairs for some cool records and t-shirts at 45 Central.

Nice book store in Seaside. It is small but is a great place to pass some time. Nice selection of books and other things.

This independent, locally owned and operated book shop is located on the "square" in downtown Seaside. Parking is available in front. With a covered porch and old, creaky hardwood floors, this is all one could imagine for an original bookstore. Sundog Books is stocked full of hardback, & paperback books. New fiction and non fiction are on an old tables... More

As my friend put it, "I don't know if I've ever come to Sundog without walking away with another great book to read on the beach." It's quaint and has an awesome independent bookstore vibe. The selection of books is HUGE -- history, architecture, fiction (separated into historical, young adult, etc.), children's books, staff selections...the list goes on! They have... More

We visit every time we come to Seaside. This is my idea of a perfect bookstore. They have a very wide variety of books--from modern literature to poetry to history to classics, etc. They also have cute little items that aren't books, like postcards, wrapping paper, calendars, book necklaces, little flags, and so forth. I could spend all day here.... More

Remember when book stores sold books? It was so refreshing to step back in time to a real, honest-to-goodness bookstore. It's small, but with a great selection. Staff was friendly and helpful in helping us with our beach reading. Reminds me of Square Books in Oxford, MS, another great bookstore.
