Last night I attended a marvelous transfixing and thoroughly enjoyable Sarasota Ballet presentation of two works. Sir Frederick Ashton's "The Dream" and David Bintley's "Still Life at the Penguin Cafe". Both, for different reasons, mesmerizing. We went to see a Tribute to Ashton at the Van Wezel. This performance was in two parts: the short Scene de Ballet and the longer Two Pigeons. The dancing was amazing and the Two Pigeons did a great job with storytelling through dance. I...More

Attended the Sarasota Ballet on vacation and was delighted to see the world-class level of performance. Don't miss this fine company when you are in town. Pretty much any seat in the house has fine views.

We love the Ballet here in Sarasota. In 5 years, since Iain Webb has been Artistic Director, the group has increased in size and grown from an amateurish, 'nothing' little small-town troupe into a world-class ballet. They dance works by major choreographers. Webb, his wife...More
