We found this little gem as we were driving back from the Myakka State Park. We decided to drive thru it - wish we had more time to spend there. It was absolutely beautiful.

This place is very new and beautiful. I was very impressed with the place. The man giving us information was very helpful. I'm sure at holiday time it will be beautiful like Arlington is.

A newer cemetery for military veterans. There is an area where ceremonies are held on national holidays. If you have never witnessed a military funeral and one is taking place you should RESPECTFULLY watch it. It's quite moving.

We went to a Memorial Day service there a few years ago and it was tastfully done. The grounds are respectful and beautiful.

What can be said about those that are here? Getting ready for Memorial Day Service. Rest well brothers and sisters. The flag still stands.

Military friends told us to stop and see this cemetery if we got a chance when in Sarasota. Today was the day. This is a very well planned and thoughtful remembrance to our soldiers and families. There is a visitor building to help you with...More

Thsi is Flaroida's nwest National Cemetery and it is magnificent and filling fast. I have interred my brother here and I can see his headstone while passing by on the highway we travel frequently. Pristine natural environment away form city distractions and peaceful.

This was our first visit. We were there for the dedication of the Blue Star Memorial A beautiful resting place for veterans and spouses. Hope some day we won't need a facility like this. A well designed and built cemetery.

We visited this Veterans Cemetery to decide if this was where we wanted to be buried. My husband is a Navy Veteran and wants to be buried in a VA Cemetery. We will definitely be buried here. It is new but beautiful and peaceful.

They are having a ceremony on Saturday at 11 am - Brigadier General Gerald McIlmoyle (US Airforce, retired) will be speaking. There will be a band as well.

Thank you for stating what this cemetery is for. Attraction is not one of the words that I would subscribe to this hallowed ground.
