Visited to attend a Veterans Day service by theCatholic Diocese of Sarasota. A beautiful ceremony in the open pavilion that is so dignified and appropriate for this day of remembrance.

Sarasota National Cemetery is a place for meditation, to reflect on our nation's heroes, or to just sit and marvel at the beautiful surroundings. The amphitheatre holds occasional concerts, and funerals are conducted with military precision.

On occasion, when one of our friends passes away and is laid to rest in this cemetery, we cannot help but praise our government's commitment to honor or soldiers and sailors who have fought in wars and other kinds of political conflicts.

This is a beautiful memorial park with a military flavor and great style. It is an interesting place to visit on Memorial Day, Veteran's Day and similar occasions.

Sarasota National Cemetery is a bit of a drive out of town, however it is a beautiful site and resting place for our nations hero's. We were there for just that, and The Cemetery is really large and so beautiful. Our Hero's deserve it.

They are having a ceremony on Saturday at 11 am - Brigadier General Gerald McIlmoyle (US Airforce, retired) will be speaking. There will be a band as well.

Thank you for stating what this cemetery is for. Attraction is not one of the words that I would subscribe to this hallowed ground.
