Used to be an exhibit space in a vault. Interesting, but closed years ago. The owner's collection is supposed to have been donated to the Ringling Museum, but I heard stories that it was promised and then sold before it was given to the Museum.

Overall the museum of Asian Art had not officially opened till later May'16. We were able to tour early as part of our Ringling Museum visit. Beautiful facility with a mix of ancient collections but will focus on modern era Asian artists. FREE on Monday's and beautiful grounds. If want to just relax with or without children, pack a lunch... More

Delight for every art lover. Beautifully appointed and diligently kept. Surprisingly full but intimate medieval collection. Famous Italian, Dutch and (O joy!) Spanish masters. Not to mention surrounding park where you can contemplate your impressions and admire beautifull scenery.

CLOSED- visited Nov. 1, 2012. I asked a local store within the building of this address, they said everyone asks and they have been closed for 4 years yet they haven't updated the info! They said the circus museam down the road took the items and will display them in the future (about a yr) but this location is closed,... More

I am a big fan of Asian Art and this little gem is a perfect setting for the art. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Keep up the good work.
