This trail is great, well maintained and mostly flat. There are several areas to park your car and unload your bikes near the trail. Pack water and snacks as needed. Covered rest stops at intervals.

My husband and I should have brought our bikes. The trail itself is beautifully maintained and well-marked, so I can see why people love it, but it was just a boring walk for the few miles we did.

This paved trail is used by both walkers and bicyclists and we found week days less crowded than weekends. It's easy to move at your own pace and enjoy the scenery. It's helpful that each tenth of a mile is painted on the pavement for...More

I've been riding this for years and can't believe I've never reviewed it. This paved trail covers about 10 miles on an old railroad line. Sarasota County has invested a lot of money in this, and it is well maintained. I always take people here...More

This paved trail is great for walking or biking. Accessible from a park with a fee or free parking lots along the trail. It follows an old railroad bed with signs along the way to tell you about the history

Enjoyed every moment of the trail ride. Active with other riders but not too crowded. Wonderful wildlife including birds and gopher tortoises, maybe a gator.

This is a dedicated bike path. The only vehicles you might see belong to Sarasota County maintenance vehicles, who check port-a-potties, trash, brush on the path, etc.
