The highlight was being able to feed the flamingos and get up close. The many paths are fun to walk and explore.

Great combination of plants and animals! Loved the crocodile and alligators, snakes and other reptiles; interesting reptile show. All kinds of parrots and other birds with a cute bird show. Monkeys, lemurs and so much more in beautiful, tropical gardens. My favorite is the Flamingos; buy some food from the gift shop, or make sure you have some quarters for... More

This was a spur of the moment stop and we were glad we did. We got to hold and pet a crocodile and feed pellets to the small ones in a caged pond. Had a photo taken with the crocodile and a large bird. Saw alligators, crocodiles and tortoises. Later got to hold a ball python, iguana and pet another... More

We dropped into the Jungle Gardens one afternoon and caught the tail end of the last show of the day. Plan ahead so that you don't miss the bird and reptile shows. The main attraction for us was the flamingo feeding. We had seen pictures of people mingling with the flamingos and hand feeding them. Well, when we went at... More

I have been visiting Jungle Gardens for the past 16 years. with my kids. They always love going to Jungle Gardens and seeing all the animals. They even have baby goats and petting zoo,. My son loves seeing the alligators and feeding the flamingoes. Always a great time.

I visited here about a month ago August 2016 from Tampa. Florida. This was my first time in 60 years that I have been here. I won't to go back and buy a yearly pass, come back in the spring when the flowers in the gardens are in bloom, what a great place to take pictures. Go early and spend... More

Really nice place! I've never been able to feed flamingos before anywhere. They were just really neat. Some other birds were in the area and ate as well. We also saw some talking parrots. You can also feed the alligators which was really neat to do! Definitely a must stop if you are in Sarasota!

Yes, this attraction has been open since 1939 and it shows. I took my son here about 30 years again and it was clean and interesting. Shows were more informative and animals were accessible. Employees walked around and let kids hold animals/birds without having to pay an additional fee. There were beautiful peacocks walking freely (none now) and the petting... More

The only good thing this place has to offer are the Flamingos, very beautiful and make amazing photo ops,but the rest is disappointing and I've been to really bad zoos and sanctuaries in my life this is just really really disappointing you keep waiting to see something cool around the corner as you walk through the park and there's nothing. My daughter always wants to go back to the SJG when we visit. This is just a very pleasant family stop with enormous flamingos who are extraordinarily friendly.
