4 grandchildren, aged 5-12, our third visit in 5 years along with parents and grandparents. We can see improvements happening each time. This year we were too late for the bird show (noon only) which was too bad but we did take in the wildlife and reptile shows and enjoyed them. The gal who did the shows was informative, amiable... Went out for the day to see the animals. A great place to take children or grandkids. Have an excellent show with parrots.

This place is wonderful! A quaint little "zoo" of sorts. There is a great, little alligator pool filled with babies to feed as soon as you walk in. All the enclosures provide an awesome opportunity to view the animals, most are rescued, and have great little bios to read at each stop. Nice, little playground for the kids and plenty... More

My husband and I visited Sarasota Jungle Gardens and has so much fun feeding the flamingos! Bring some quarters with you to purchase feed, you get a generous amount for 25 cents. It was such a great experience to see them so close up and feed them! We had a wonderful time, the reptile show was interest also, we didn't... More

Grandkids really liked the animals and the playground in the gardens. Easy to find. Get a flyer from a chamber of commerce and save a few dollars.

The jungle gardens showcase native trees and plants. It is easy to see all, including scheduled educational shows on some of Florida's wildlife, in about 4 hours. Nice way to spend an afternoon and should appeal to all ages. Reasonable entry fees a family trip. There is a place to buy light lunches and snacks on premises.

Saw a couple of "poor" reviews for this place. No way! Price is right, under $20 for adults. Setting is a gem away from the bustle of Sarasota. It is ideal for families with young children but it was enjoyable as well for my wife and me - a couple of seniors. The shows are structured to teach the youngsters... More

Four generations of our family visited the Jungle Gardens. We all learned a lot and had a great afternoon with the friendly animals and excellent guides.

This place may have been great at one time, but it is run down. Our visit in Feb 2017 was over priced and nothing special. Animal exhibits are small, spread out & need upkeep. We walked all the way to petting zoo just to find out it was closed, they only have it open for 3 30min sessions a day.... More

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit. Your comments about positing the times we are open for the petting zoo are valid comments. We will ensure we move forward with this suggestion. We hope you had time to feed our free-roaming flamingos and attend our animal shows. These are always big attractions for our guests. To... More

We visited this little zoo today after looking for different things to do in Sarasota. The first thing we saw was all the baby gators since I had a couple quarts i decided to feed the babies. Across from them in its own pen was a huge gator. I did not try to feed him. We then walked into the... More
