We saw a beautiful ballet show at this opera house. The ballet was magnificent and the opera house is a great venue for it.

We went to see the Westcoast Black Theatre’s Black Nativity. It was wonderful. The Sarasota Opera was the perfect venue. Acoustics were good and the staff were well organized. A wonderful production, a wonderful evening. A great way to celebrate the coming of Christmas.

First two acts were mostly traditional ballet which I love. I (and most of the audience around me concurred) however that the operatic singing throughout the second act should be eliminated. It was so distracting, did nothing to enhance the piece at all. The wonderful...More

Evening music performance was beautiful, wonderful acoustics, no bad seats. However, the weak A/C made the event uncomfortable when patrons filed the house. Water not allowed inside, so we had to suffer through what would have been a splendid concert.
