We saw the musical Chicago at the Van Wezel on a Saturday night. Arrived early as we weren't sure what traffic would be like, but it turned out to be light. There were virtually no signs to guide us into the regular parking lot so...More

Spacious parking area, restaurant on premises, good acoustic, spacious layout , we saw Chicago which was excellent, just as on Broadway, it was fantastic. One major concern is that there is no center aisles, in an emergency it would be extremely difficult to evacuate in...More

Unique performing arts center that hosts concerts, plays, dance troupes and solo performers. Many, many well known artists. Seats sell out quickly for the most popular events of the winter season. Lovely location aside Sarasota Bay. Generous parking. Lunch and dinner available onsite before some performances.

They offer a lot of nice performances and shows. The sound is quite good on the first floor where I always get tickets as close to the stage as possible. However the design of the seating is terrible since there are no aisle breaks along...More

There is no way to fully appreciate this architectural landmark and cultural treasure from its front on Tamiami Trail. Certainly the purple and lavender colors grab your attention, but it is only from an airplane perspective or boat deck view from the Sarasota Bay that...More
