Absolutely what we needed. With tons of June grass in the Gulf (which limited our ability to surf fish) I reached out to Capt. Austin who answered all my questions about fishing with Santa Rosa Charters in the bay. Rebecca handled our booking and was transparent about availability and pricing.
On Father’s Day 2023 Capt. Dalton met us on the dock and had us fishing quickly. He had been bait fishing earlier in the morning to ensure we have different kinds of bait we needed. We spent a couple hours fishing for Speckled Trout (which cooked up perfectly) and then capped the morning off with a couple of Spanish Mackerel (also cooked up great).
Capt. Dalton was great with our group of four. Everyone in our group had different levels of fishing experience but he ensured everyone had individualized attention so we were not fishing to the lowest ability. Capt. Dalton was great with the adults and even better with my 9-year old son. My boy probably caught the most fish out of all of us!
I highly recommend fishing with Santa Rosa Charters if you are in the area. We will be fishing with them next time we come to town.

This was our second time fishing with Austin with Santa Rosa Charters, and we had a great time once more! It started off catching some small croackers to use as bait for the bigger fish. We caught 6 Spanish Mackerel, 2 Lady Fish, and a Saltwater Catfish. We only kept the good ones for eating! Austin is great about recognizing where the fish are biting and when it may be time to move. He’s had years of experience in the bay, and it makes a big difference! Highly recommend giving them a try if for any skill level.

My son and I booked a 6 hour bay fishing trip with Austin. We caught our limit of speckled trout in the first 30 minutes and continued to catch them all day long (30+). The highlight of the day was my son catching a monster redfish that bent his rod in half and fought like crazy. It was too big to keep but we got a great picture. Austin was a fantastic guide, was very helpful, patient, and friendly and put us on fish all day. We would have enjoyed our day with Austin even if we went on a day when the fishing was not as good.

Great fishing trip. We took a 4 hour charter and caught plenty of fish. Case was pretty good at offering advice on how to prepare the different fish we caught. We will call them again when we visit the Florida Gulf coast.

Had a friend come into town for a visit and we chartered Santa Rosa for two days. Aside from TS Nicholas making us play a guessing game with the weather, we were able to get both days in albeit a bit wet. Captain Josh did a great job getting us limits on Redfish and Speckled Trout. On our second day, we went after bull Redfish and had a blast. I highly recommend this outfit for inshore fishing to anyone wanting to get out on the bay for some good fishing.

My wife and i booked a trip with Captain Austin and we had a GREAT time!
Austin was a great Captain and he really put us on the fish! The atmosphere on the boat was laid back and relaxed. We caught to many fish to keep count of. When the fish would stop biting at where we were, he would move and we would be right back to catching fish again. He really worked hard at making sure we had a great time. He was extremely well prepared. At the end of the day Austin cleaned our fish and gave us tips on how to cook them.We highly recommend Captain Austin. We will return in October and will definitely book with him again.

Today was my first experience fishing, and we had an absolute blast! We did the 4 hour charter with 5 adults, and it was just the right amount of time. We started with catching some 15-18 inch varieties, leveled up throughout the next couple hours, and ended with catching some really big ones! Austin was our guide, and he was great at answering all of our questions as well as keeping us all ready to go with baited lines. He could name all of the different species in the bay to the point that he almost always knew what kind it was before we ever even reeled it in. His expertise, patience, and knowledge of the hot spots made it a stellar experience. I will certainly recommend to friends!

We went out with Santa Rosa Charters (Capt Austin) late March 2022. We had to move our original time because of severe weather but they were super accommodating and luckily we still could fit it in on our 1 wk vacation. It was a great experience. Caught several types of fish (trout, snapper and red fish). Austin was a great guy, very knowledgeable and a really fun guide. Two teenage kids loved it and so did the fathers. Caught lots of fish and enjoyed an amazing day on the water.

I’ve been on guiding trips before, but I felt like Captain Austin went above and beyond more than normal. He is knowledgeable, personable, and fun. Our kids had a great time - he is extremely patient. He took time to make sure everyone knew what to do. He balanced wait time and time to move on very well. The trip went well, but on our way back in, Captain Austin saw activity on the water. He took us to the action and it was the best part of the trip. I’ve never had a guide go the extra mile like that. Thanks Captain! We will be back.

Capt Austin and Santa Rosa Charters were awesome. Great communication prior to the trip. Easy access to the boat/dock. Austin was great with our 3 young kids and keeping their lines baited and in the water where the fish were.
