recently ate here during a stay at Watersound. The blackened grouper with grit cake was delicious, as were the agave mojitos. As many others have said, bring cash. They don't take any other form of payment and they don't split checks for the table so our party of 6 had to do some calculating to figure the split. I believe... More

Beware of carry out prices!!! Three dinners cost almost $100. Realized we could have gotten a much high quality dinner at Bud and Alleys for the same price or less. We use to be Red Bar fans but no more. Dinner was horrid and expensive!

Be prepared to wait and come only with cash. They don't take other forms of payment. Also, they will not split the checks up for more than one party. Limited menu with only 5 to 6 items to choose from but those few are good. Generous portions.

The menu only has a few items on it & they are all excellent! I substituted the mashed potatoes for the grits...yum!!!

The wife and I had blackened grouper with grits-cake, the special that day. As far as We are concerned, that could be the special any day! It was really good. Only real drawback to this place is tight seating (too well known and popular for its size) and especially, it is cash or check only. That could really be a... More

The gumbo is similar to their sister restaurant, Louis Louis in Santa Rosa. Red Bar is often crowded, and we got gumbo to go.

We were very fortunate and had a 30 minute wait for a party of 16. I think it's the decor that makes it interesting. Its definitely interesting. To me it looked like a trash heap landed on the walls. Tons of pictures and odd things all over. The food was average at best. Nothing to write home about. Duct tape... More

We ate here after reading other reviews and off a few recommendations by friends. Every single person in our group were very disappointed in the whole experience of dining here. First of all, the parking situation is horrible. We arrived about 5:30 and were seated quickly (only positive bc we were all hungry). It was loud and crowded. They don't... More

An must stop in Grayton's Beach. Brunch is fun but Friday or Saturday evenings are a must if you want the best crab cakes. We go every time we are at the beach.

Crowd is thick, wait is long, but you will not be disappointed. The place has about 6 items on its regular menu, with a couple of specials and everything is prepared to perfection! I had the black grouper with spinach and grits (like a grit-cake) - heavenly! The bread pudding was heavenly, as was the Key Lime pie. Can't wait... More
