About
The Underwater Museum of Art is the first permanent underwater sculpture garden in the U.S. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, off of Walton County, Florida, the museum lies at a depth of approximately 58-feet and at a distance of .7-miles from the shore of Grayton Beach State Park. Visitors who wish to experience the site at-depth should be certified divers who are comfortable swimming in open water. The coordinates for the Super Reef Anchor Point are N 30°18.754 / W 86°09.521. Out of respect for the art, boaters are asked to anchor on or near the Super Reef Anchor Point to protect the sculptures from unintended contact or damage.

Its the first Underwater Museum of Art, located at Grayton Beach State Park, Walton County. The museum is in around 60 feet of water, they blend art and conservation. If you are a certified diver you can view the 7 sculptures at depth, snorkelers will view from above. Among the sculptures include an 8 foot tall octopus, an 8 foot pineapple, all the sculptures are to help the reef fish thrive.

This is so cool. First of all, the sculptures are so amazing and such a variety. Second, the fact that they are building it as a faux reef is even better. If you go, don't miss it.

Sitting in 60 feet of water - The underwater museum is an awesome dive. 7 sculptures each unique and already attracting lots of life. Grouper and trigger fish to name a few. Favorites were the skull, the reindeer and the octopus. Went out with Emerald Coast Dive - great dive shop, stable boat, great crew and an awesome experience. A unique must do dive.
