Beyond recommended. Get to the beach. It was stunning and there wasn't a single person out there with us ... Granted, it was December. Gorgeous. Lots of walking but worth it.

First of all, let's get the name right. It is Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. I've been here 4 days enjoying the walking and biking trails and the nice campground. They are experiencing some issues on the campground since Hurricane Michael left its calling card...More

Topsail beach used to be a private campground/resort for many years before it became part of the Florida state parks system which is one reason there are many "extras" in the campground and cabins. We parked in the lot and rode the tram to save...More

Yesterday we passed a half dozen dead fish on the beach. Today the coughing started whenever we got in the vicinity of beach air. There's still a lot to do in the area like bike ride, but red tide is irritating--and no one seems to...More

The beach at Topsail is beautiful and unspoiled. You can walk down the beach and not see another person for 10 minutes. Even in season it doesn't get crowded. The sand looks like powdered sugar and does not get hot with the sun and the...More

Large state park pn gulf of Mexico. Plenty of trails for hiking. Biking. Beach is far from parking lot...about 3/4 mile. Tram is available to transport passengers. Runs every 30 minutes. Dunes are protected. Among the most beautiful in US.

Several miles of state-owned white sand beach. No hassles from folks who think they own the beach or beach chair vendors who likewise think they own the beach. Just a quiet place to catch some rays. Access to the beach is free in the summer...More

We enjoyed our stay at Topsail for 2 nights. The beach is amazing - hardly anyone there! And its walkable - meaning not a lot of erosion. The bathhouse is a hike but, it is clean. This is a very quiet campground - almost too...More
