I've been playing the Dunes for about 20 years. It is a lot of fun and the scenery is just beautiful.Yes the greens need work but it was not the fault of the staff it was the bad weather they received. The fairways were very good.I understand that the course will close for two months so they can make the repairs.... More

We heard this place had been done over and that the food was really good. All of the above was true. My husband had grouper and I had a hot steak sandwich smothered in onions and mushrooms with melted cheese on top. Absolutely delicious lunch with a beautiful view as a bonus.

I have been visiting Sanibel Island for 30 years and playing the Dunes almost that long. I have looked at many of the reviews posted and feel that the truth lies between the extremes posted here on Trip Advisor. In the past I would have rated the course as very good but at the moment it is average at best.... More

Played today and the greens are poor with lots of sand a patchy greens. The tee markers don't have yardage markers and the tees are not consistent with the score card. Would not pay this money to play the course again. I am told that they are remaking the greens this year . In view of this they should have... More

This course has so many possibilities, but the condition is abysmal. They need to bite the bullet and redo the greens, if nothing else. They charge rates online that suggest a first rate course, and it is totally disappointing. Get rid of the crabgrass on the fairways too. What a mess.

This is a fun course to play. It is very short in distance (5,606 yards from the tips and 5,249 from the next level tees) with very small greens. Many holes allow plenty of room in the landing areas on your drives but several challenge you in either tightness or the need to use only a hybrid or long iron... More

Golf course is in poor shape. Particularly the greens. Lots of dead spots and putting through seed/sand. Short course with an abundance of OB and water. Can see gators and lots of birds. Way overpriced.

The Dunes has started serving dinner on Friday nights but maybe they should just stick to lunches. Our appetizers and desserts were clearly from the supermarket frozen food section. Our entrees were just okay, nothing outstanding. We won't be going back.
