We rode our bikes all over the island and you just have to visit the lighthouse! Nice area in general.

The lighthouse is doesnt look like a normal lighthouse. Its resembles a water tower. It does have a plaque you can read about, but the attached building is not open. The Beach is much nicer to visit. We did get to see wild dolphins swimming close to the beach and it has lots of shells if you are into collecting.

We rented bikes and rode here to have a picnic lunch. They have picnic tables placed with a nice view of the water and the lighthouse. It was peaceful and beautiful. The lighthouse itself is not accessible to enter.

We were here Jan. 26 before the red tide. This was the most expensive beach that we went to and our least favorite of 5 that we have been to. Its not easy finding parking here. Go early or maybe around 1:00. The people paying in the machine with credit card were having a little trouble which made getting your... More

Follow the bike trail to this quiet end of the island to either visit the beach or go fishing. Great shelling beach.there is a deli and ice cream shop nearby.

Another South West Florida white sand beach. This beach does have a fishing pier and a light house which you cannot climb for a view. Other beaches in the area are larger and nicer. Last time we were there the seaweed and shells were piling up on the shore. Parking is $4 per hour which is above average.

The food was good, the staff friendly, restaurant was clean. I could tell via the atmosphere the restaurant was a favorite of visitors as well as locals, everyone was enjoying their evening. A nice selection of food and beverages, they serve breakfast until 3.00 p.m. our server did inform us the breakfast crowd is quite large, advising us to call... More

Have been here for many years but this year has been subjected to the infamous Red a Tide due to releasing of lake wTers in nearby areas. Normally beautiful but I would not recommend to anyone at his time.

Paid $5.00 to park. Suppose to be $4.00 for one hr. but only had $5 & it just gave me longer time on beach/Lighthouse instead of option to have change returned. Viewed several different types of lighthouses on the coast and this was by far the least informational and fun. U read a small description of the Lighthouse when viewing... More
