This town has become an amazing Downtown in the last few years. Beautiful historic buildings, amazing restaurants, four micro-breweries, a new distillery, great coffee spots and nightlife.

Half is good the other half is run down or shut down. Sanford has not been that successful in revitalizing the Downtown Area. It has a couple micro breweries and other small shops. The big draw is the Willow Tree Cafe and Store. It's a...More

Stayed over in Sanford after a long haul flight from the UK. The historic district, especially Main Street, is a real delight. Lots of lovely old buildings from the days of the railroad in the 19th Century. Good bars and restaurants, many with live music...More

Sanford has become a great place to meander and enjoy libations, fresh brews and great food. Come with family or friends and enjoy the wondrous downtown economic growth.

We have lived in Seminole County for 30 years. Downtown Sanford wasn’t much back in the 80’s. Today it is a wonderful place that keeps getting better. There are many good restaurants and shops and parking is convenient.

We were Downtown during German Spring Fest and it was awesome! Lots of vendors selling cool stuff, plenty of places to get a drink, and lots of fun shops to browse! We will be back!

A few older buildings with plenty of plaques throughout the city explaining the history and people of earlier days. Not too crowded and the streets are kept clean and tidy.

We only went into Sanford because we were taking the Auto Train home, and wanted some lunch. The town was a revelation - a very pretty small town on a huge lake, with many good restaurants. We got sandwiches from Hollerbach's German deli, and drove...More

Lived there for almost 20 years. Still has a small town feel. If you don't have to commute the skinny parking lot (I-4) during rush hours, it is nice place to live.
