Very nice except for a cadre of homeless/mentally ill zombies roaming the area day and night. If the city had any sense (which they don't) they would have police on horses or on bikes permanently assigned to the area,

I'm at a loss as to why downtown "historic" Sanford has so many high reviews. Perhaps all the shop owners and members of the Sanford Chamber of Commerce wrote them to try and boost the local economy. The "area" consists of about 4 blocks down...More

It's a small town north of Orlando. Has a lot of restaurants and local businesses. However, most of the local businesses are closed on Mon and some are also closed on Tues.

Old downtown Sanford has been renewing itself. Little boutiques, great restaurants, weekend craft fairs and farmers markets, escape rooms and concerts make this pretty area worth a visit! Sanford is an old city with lots of real Florida charm. Just park for free and start...More

Great little place. Lots of eating opportunities, even just off Main Street. Had a really friendly vibe. Didn’t have time to explore the river walk, so will definitely come back.

We had several hours to wait for our flight home, so our host at the Black Dolphin Inn suggested that we might enjoy walking around the shops in downtown Sanford. Parking was easy to find. We arrived around lunchtime, and there were some people milling...More

The town of Sanford continues to come back and grow form a bunch of old abandoned buildings to new businesses in same old buildings. It is nice to see a small town charter me back to life in this way. Always something going on in...More

Some spots in Downtown Sanford are lively, like 1st Street, the main drag. The highlight here is Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe. It's a German Restaurant/Bar, and Grocery Store. They host Oktoberfest. There are several antique stores and a local artists gallery. There is a string...More

The town of Sanford is small and full of charisma. Its main street is surrounded by antique shops, restaurants, barbershop as in the old days, bookstore of used books at a low cost and as much as the market on Saturdays, has a very peculiar...More

We went to downtown Sanford on a Saturday to visit the farmer’s market. It was a happening place from baked goods, produce, crafts and homemade merchandise. The market had a lot of unique venders. The downtown had many antique, art and book stores. We could...More

Lived there for almost 20 years. Still has a small town feel. If you don't have to commute the skinny parking lot (I-4) during rush hours, it is nice place to live.

For this event you will need to just cruise the area starting on 4th Street up to 6th I am not a resident of Sanford but I always find parking to be easy unless you have physical restrictiond
