We have just had a truly magnificent experience with American Bronze Foundry!
The staff was encouraging, helpful and so very professional.
The facility is bright , organized and uses up to date equipment.
They encourage me to be as "hands-on" as I wanted and knowing my husband was new to the entire process, welcomed our visits and settled us comfortably in chairs to watch Taylor work her magic on the patina.
Jennie handled the business end - keeping in touch and making sure I got to inspect the piece was totally satisfied with each step.
Charlie, the hands-on foundry owner who also did the pickup and delivery, took time on our last visit to give input about the plinth. This is definitely a 10 star operation and I look forward to working with them in the future.

We are a group of seniors who visit different cities and search for interesting places to go and tour. The American Bronze Foundry is a gem! The owner's daughter is the tour guide and she takes you through all stages of making a bronze, from drawing to finished product. The tour is free, takes about an hour and you can watch the processes in operation. Any question is answered. The lobby is full of beautiful finished statues and art pieces. Truly a wonderful experience!

This was my second trip to the Foundry. Each time has been a truly educational experience. So many beautiful pieces of art to see first hand. They walk you through the entire building explaining the process as you see the many artists at work. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgable. Even if you use a walker, you won't have any problems on the tour. I'm excited to take my 97 yr old mother and other family members and friends there to enjoy the art and the experience.

I had two sculptures i was interested in casting in bronze when we went in for the tour of the facility. I've been around working foundries most of my life and I was saddened at what i saw there. To start, the facility is very dirty. This is never a good sign. The few pieces that were in progress were full of rudimentary flaws. Poor craftsmanship seemed to be the watchword wherever I looked. One fellow there had a police monitor on his ankle. Not inspiring, It's always sad to see a foundry on it's last leg. We thanked them for the tour and shot out the door.

Was looking forward to touring this place. My husband is a Master Blacksmith and teaches Blacksmith and Welding classes so he was quite interested. Their website says they do tours during business hours. We went there during business hours. After buzzing us in, this rather grumpy man came out and when we asked about the tour he said "only by appointment" and walked away. They better either change their website, or better yet, change the attitude of their employee.

My husband and I travelled to the American Bronze Foundry with our bronze which needed a couple repairs. Upon contacting them via email, Jenny gave us a quote of which we approved. We appeared and met the bronze foundry artist who would be improving our statue. Thinking we needed to return another day, we left for lunch before returning to Lakeland. Jenny soon contacted us to say Charlie would fix our bronze so we could come back in a couple hours to a new-looking bronze! Thank you Charlie and Jenny for making our visit a wonderful experience. When we returned to our home and unwraped our gem, we could not have been happier. Such quality of work and better-than-new, it now sits in her spot with a new sense of appreciation not felt in sometime. We wholeheartedly recommend ABF for any bronze work and please stop in their showroom for an art treat if only to look around. We wanted to take a few home with us. Maybe next time...

If you're into metal sculpture and Foundry work this is a nice short little tour and Museum. Right on busy Lake Mary Boulevard. It's a decent stop. If you are into this sort of thing.

Short walking tour about 15 minutes, however there were only 2 of us. Very interesting and informative. Never knew how many steps and detailed work that is involved in making the beautiful bronze statues and figurines that our around everyday, that most people take for granted. We enjoyed the tour and never felt rushed. Our guide Jenny and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Jenny explained ever step of the process and answered all of our questions. You are not allowed to take pictures but their website is very well done and has some great photos of their work.
