No welcome when we entered. There were 2 ladies in the store/center representing St. Pete. It was as if they never noticed you come in. Others were treated the same way. I am a new resident and had been in the hospitality business for over 30 years and was quite shocked. These ladies represent your beautiful & energetic city. We asked a few questions & it was obvious they were either bored or actually did not know a lot about the "burg". Time for more training in both how to work in a welcome center and more knowledge about the area itself.St. Petersburg has so much to offer their visitors and their residents.

Great first stop while visiting St. Petersburg. They'll point you in the right direction for the rest of your stay.

I do not usually write reviews for the visitor centers but will make an exception for this one. What nice, friendly, helpful people!!! We had a nice laugh waiting on our friend to try on a T-shirt. They helped us find different stores in the area. They were so friendly. I just can’t say that enough times. The store was nicely organized with great items that represent the region. Stop and say hello if you are downtown.

We were looking for a.m. coffee before the morning market and came across this little place. We found some locally sourced artsy souvenirs and had a fun chat with the manager who told us we just missed an annual event when the locals dress in pajamas and get special discounts at the restaurants and shops. :)

We stopped to get maps of the St. Pete area and found SO much more. We all bought great palm frond woven hats (super for sun) in their store and then learned about the many local attractions. We continued our walking tour and had lunch nearby followed by a visit to the great museums. Definitely recommend stopping in at the Visitors Center!

The two women at the visitors' center were most welcoming and warm. They offered advice on attractions, transportation, as well as dining. They recommended the trolley, at 50 cents or 25 cents for seniors, it was a bargain with Mr. Terrence Brown, the driver, providing an exuberantly pride-filled description of spots around his town. Mr. Brown echoed the Visitors' center's recommendation of the Hanger Restaurant especially since that day, Wednesday, was $ 6.00 bargain burger day.

Amy and Linda were very helpful and friendly to us in selecting St Pete souvenirs but also talked at length about other places to visit there, restaurants as well as different places to live in St Pete.
If you are looking for inside information about St Petersburg it is well worth your time to pay them a visit.

The St. Pete Store and Visitor Center is my favorite spot in the city, because the people who work and volunteer there are always so friendly, welcoming, and informative. It is a cool pit stop for anyone who likes supporting local artists, anyone interested in business development and community involvement, or those simply curious about the multitude of events and resources offered annually throughout St. Pete. I love the merchandise in the Store because it is all crafted by local artists who receive 100% of the proceeds generated. Definitely worth checking out! :)

I always send visitors to St. Pete to this place for local artists gifts and souvenirs. I also go in once in a while to add to my own St. Petersburg collection at home. Very cool merchandise. I also have Airbnb property in the area and grab the latest maps, flyers, Rays game schedules, etc. to provide to my guests.

I had chance to stop at this Visitor Center last year, and also this year in January. The Center is located near the Beach Drive, right across from Sundial, it's not big, but it contains a lot of useful info for tourists who visit St. Petersburg.

The staff is very professional - well-informed, very courteous and friendly. I talked to Bob (that was last year) who was very helpful and gave me some maps of the city and info about its main attractions and ground transportation. Last month the Center Information Specialists Lauren and Susanne also greeted me very warmly, and we talked about the downtown area of St. Petersburg and its rich cultural life. The Center has a lot of printed info materials that provide answers to any questions that tourists usually have. Very thoughtful and helpful service!

I probably should buy some nice T-shirt in this Center (which is also the St. Pete Store) when I visit it next time!
