I’ve been here each time I’ve visited. A great spot to see a soccer match. Last weekend saw a match for free. That was nice. Took the teens along and it was great. Not our teams but that was ok Miami supporters added entertainment. It’s such a beautiful spot to see a match with all the boats in the harbour. It’s a small stadium so the game feels different when you’re so close. I recommend it. The rowdies play there but have seen Toronto fc there in the past as well.

The historic field was used by the Yankees from 1947-61 & other teams, thru the years. The field is now the home of the Tampa Bay Rowdies soccer team which is owned by the Rays

Watched Tampa Bay Rowdies play New York Bulls. Great atmosphere, with a loud fan base with a big drum. Not a huge stadium, but enough refreshment stalls and restrooms. We had seats in area 305, row 23, great view, shady afternoon/evening, and undercover. Our seats were metal bench type, lower levels were plastic tip up seats (probably not under cover). All very family orientated, if you’re used to British football, a decent match to watch, much more about family and kids here.

I realized by writing this review nothing is going to happen, but golly I was treated soooo wrong, I am an older lady (single) still working, I decided to treat myself to come and watch the game Miami/Rowdies....I was the most excited as I have not been in a while do to first Covid and financial situation and being I not the best driving at night I decided to get an over night hotel and because I was watching my budget I got a hotel 15 min drive away from the stadium. went to the stadium right at 6:30 as I wanted to purchase me a sweater as it was cold.

I took an Uber from the hotel to the stadium as I am waiting on the line to get in, this lady comes out and started talking , not sure what she said to the people in front of me as I didn't hear, BUT when she got to me she said and you mam you can't go in with that back pack, it was a very very small back pack and I explain the lady I didn't have a car near me to take to the car, she said I don't whatever you need to do, but you can't get in. I didn't have the budget to take 2 more Ubers at $24 each round.

A person in the line suggested to go to Security and perhaps they make an exception consider the situation, I walk over to Security gate a good 6 cars length from where I was with the lady and gentleman there I was listening to my situation and seem to understand and I believe he was going to make an exception when the lady comes running and screaming at the man and telling him that NO I can't get in there and so the man quickly said no I am sorry you can't go in , so I have no choice but call an uber to go back to he hotel and drop off the bag and by the time I got back the game was a 1/4 in and I was frustrated and didn't have a good time at all. not that you care about this but I will never ever comeback here.a

Went to Tadeschi Trucks band concert and was brought into a broiler at 6pm with no shade due to “safety” issues. Forced to stand in the sun the security ushered all to common areas away from shade, kids and all. This was sad. We did leave and came back after dark when we talked to the security management LiveNation. They were reasonable but the venue was as not. We will not be back on the grass! This venue was also for a seated venue where terrible guests stood the whole show, sad.

I have been here several times, many years ago for a baseball game and in most recent years for Tampa Bay Rowdies games. This is a wonderful venue to watch a game. Some soccer purest may disagree especially with new MLS Stadiums popping up all over the country. We are not in The MLS and there is limited space so what we have is not bad. The former owner Bill Edwards last remodeling efforts are just fine. The Rowdies Organization has always made the fan experience a top priority. Thank You Rowdies for being vested in our community.

This could have been a great show with great views, but they opted NOT to use the stadium seating that is tiered and horseshoe shaped, but instead, put the stage at the end and chairs on the flat field. To top it off, small fold up chairs that were tie wrapped directly next to the next, leaving no room to breath or move. Since it was on the field, most people stood, leaving the view from 40 rows back impossible. Could watch some of the concert on the single big screen (the one on the side only posted advertising before the concert???). What could have been a great show, was a total let down. Will not go to another concert there unless they change the stage position and seat in the stands. Seems too logical.

Al Lang Stadium is an absolute jewel, getting more polished every soccer season. I loved to watch Spring Training baseball there and now I go as often as I can to watch the Rowdies play professional football (also known as soccer). There's always a lovely light breeze coming off the bay. Can hardly wait for soccer season!

In the 1950s, when my family vacationed in St. Petersburg, Florida, I remember going to Al Lang Field and watching the New York Yankees play spring training games. I attended their workouts at nearby Miller Huggins Field near Crescent Lake and obtained the autographs of every Yankee player and coach who participated in spring training in 1953. I also got an autograph from Al Lang himself. A former mayor of St. Petersburg, Lang was instrumental in bringing minor league and major league spring training to the city and to Florida in the early 20th century. He persuaded the St. Louis Browns to train in St. Petersburg in 1914. In 1947, the city built this park and named it after Al Lang. It was used exclusively as a baseball park for over 60 years. Legendary stars such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe Di Maggio, Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial and Willie Mays played there. Located at 230 1st Street Southeast on St. Petersburg's waterfront, it gave almost every seat a view of the St. Petersburg harbor and Tampa Bay beyond the left field wall. It was reconstructed in 1976 and renovated in 1998 before the Tampa Bay Rays began using it as their first spring training base. Before the Rays, the tenants were the Yankees, Cardinals, Giants, Mets and Orioles. The park hosted its last spring training game in 2008. Today, the park is home to the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the United Soccer League. To me, however, it will always be the park where I had an opportunity to see the Mick, Yogi Berra, Stan the Man and Willie up close and personal. Old-time movie buffs will recall Al Lang Field was the site of the B-36 flyover in the movie Strategic Air Command with Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson. Stewart, a St. Louis Cardinal ballplayer, was standing on third base when the B-36 buzzed the field. Stewart, in the Air Force reserve, was being ordered back to full-time active duty. Yes, Al Lang Field brings back a lot of fond memories.

I was able to catch the second half of the final home game of the season for the Tampa Bay Rowdies. It was a fantastic time. I was blown away by the hometown fans' level of support for the side. They truly showed why they deserve the name 'Rowdies'. It was my first time catching a NASL team, and it was a treat. The stadium was great, with great values on drinks and food. It had a great layout and there was even a brief concert at the end of the match. Ticket prices were very reasonable as well. I will definitely be back next year.
