St. Petersburg Jungle Prada Site History Tour

87 reviews
The Jungle Prada Site Tour explores the last 1,000 years of Florida history at one of most important historical landmarks in Tampa Bay. Jungle Prada was the site of a Tocobaga Indian village for over 600 years, and it is generally recognized as the 1528 landing place of Panfilo de Narvaez and Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca. Discover one the best-preserved American Indian mounds in all of Florida on this 75-minute guided historical walking adventure. We will escort you to the top of the private Anderson/Narvaez mound, a 900-foot-long, 25-foot-high shell midden. This family-owned property also boasts a 3-acre, Florida-friendly waterfront garden, a small museum with archaeological artifacts from the site, and dozens of free-roaming peacocks. The tour is full of fantastic story telling. It's an immersive historical and botanical experience that should not be missed. Reservations and facemasks are required. Tours are limited to a maximum of 10 people.

I’ve been here each time I’ve visited. A great spot to see a soccer match. Last weekend saw a match for free. That was nice. Took the teens along and it was great. Not our teams but that was ok Miami supporters added entertainment. It’s such a beautiful spot to see a match with all the boats in the harbour. It’s a small stadium so the game feels different when you’re so close. I recommend it. The rowdies play there but have seen Toronto fc there in the past as well.

I replied previously -- this is a soceer stadium that seats about 6 thousand (by my estimate). Good vbiews of the field from every seat.. No activity when we were there, but it appears to be a nice place to view a professional soceer game.

The historic field was used by the Yankees from 1947-61 & other teams, thru the years. The field is now the home of the Tampa Bay Rowdies soccer team which is owned by the Rays

Stop by and catch a Rowdies soccer match and reminisce about the days of baseball being played at Al Lang, dating back to the Yankees of the 1930's! Go up to the top of the open air stadium and catch a beautiful view of downtown St Pete!

Went to see Bryan Adams at this outdoor stadium and it was awesome! It was a glorious evening, not too hot with a great breeze off the bay. The front seating was easy to get to, as comfortable as chairs can be and the outhouses were clean. The parking wasn’t too bad, either. The open seating area looked like a very good buy.
