St. Petersburg Jungle Prada Site History Tour

122 reviews
The Jungle Prada Site Tour explores the last 1,000 years of Florida history at one of most important historical landmarks in Tampa Bay. Jungle Prada was the site of a Tocobaga Indian village for over 600 years, and it is generally recognized as the 1528 landing place of Panfilo de Narvaez and Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca. Discover one the best-preserved American Indian mounds in all of Florida on this 75-minute guided historical walking adventure. We will escort you to the top of the private Anderson/Narvaez mound, a 900-foot-long, 25-foot-high shell midden. This family-owned property also boasts a 3-acre, Florida-friendly waterfront garden, a small museum with archaeological artifacts from the site, and dozens of free-roaming peacocks. The tour is full of fantastic story telling. It's an immersive historical and botanical experience that should not be missed. Reservations and facemasks are required. Tours are limited to a maximum of 10 people.

An Excellent Manicure at The Vinoy In March, we were staying at the Renaissance Vinoy St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club, for my wife to attend a series of meetings. As we had been traveling extensively, prior to this trip, I booked the Vinoy Salon & Day Spa, for a manicure. I found the Spa to be a bit small, considering the size of the hotel, but very nice, and also tucked away a bit (but it was off of the hallway, between our room in the Tower, and the Historic Building, which makes up much of the hotel), but my “Gentleman’s Manicure” was great. I could not have asked for more from the technician, and the only complaint that I had was that my wife’s meeting schedule precluded us getting a couple’s massage

The gym has all of the equipment that you will need and the men's locker room has nice showers, a great steam room, dry sauna and whirlpool for relaxing. They have a few lounge chairs in the wet area if you would like to take a break during your visit. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this spa and hotel.

If I had paid $30 for this gel manicure I would have thought it was fine. The price online is $50, when I got there I was told it would be $10 extra to remove my old gel polish. I have never had to pay additional to remove gel polish it is normally part of the price of the manicure. When I went to check out I was told it was $15 not $10 and then they charged me 20% tip for a total of $75.

The salon is kind of snooty. The stylist was very rough on my head and hair. She did not listen and rushed me along even though the shop was basically empty. They add an automatic 20% tip that is not negotiable and then ask if you want to add more. I was not told about the 20% up front and was surprised at the checkout. I was not happy with the cut but was told I'd have to schedule for another day. This is a resort, I did not have time for two appointments. The cost of a simple cut, wash, dry was $61.00

Terrible service!! Won't even allow you to sit by the pool for 5 min before your spa services. Spend your money elsewhere!
