The Chihuly Collection is fairly interesting ... it's nice, but just a lot of blown glass ... probably not for everyone. What's even more interesting is the glass workshop, down the street, which is included in the price of admission (~$20 each). It's amazing to watch skilled artists turn molten glass into art (and you won't have a clue of... More

Worth the price of admission. Definitely a learning experience. How could something so hot be so cool.

My husband bought me an hour in the hot shop for Christmas and I loved every minute of it. You work with master glassblower and create a piece of art that you take home with you. A great experience, for sure!

A must see!! Wonderful collection of Chihuly creations on display. Simply fascinating. Once again used the CityPass which included admission to the Hot Spot to view the creation of glass art by the artisans on site. Not the most kid friendly attraction as there is VERY EXPENSIVE glass art everywhere.

The glass blowing exhibition is well worth it, the artists explained the whole glass blowing process, and the gift shop has some awesome works of art.

We went to see the glass blowing and ended up buying the beautiful bowl by Pauli. Amazing and fun. Lots of good things to see and the center has exhibits now about new Florida emerging artists

A working art school with a nice exhibit of Floridian artists. The highlight is the glass blowing demo, conducted by artisans who really explain their craft. You are sitting so close you can experience it in a meaningful way. Get the admission to this and the Chihuly's Collection across the street and dont' miss the museum shops which are some... More

Morean Arts Center is FREE and has lots of interesting exhibits. Across the street is the Chihully Collection, which isn't free, but admission includes the Hot Shop where you sit on bleachers in front of big fans (cause it's hot..) and watch a well-choreographed, entertaining as well as totally interesting glass bowing demonstration.

The Morean Art Center is a hidden gem in St. Petersburg. The glassblowers put on a very educational demonstration, and there is a small gift shop attached to the demo area, as well as a larger one nearby. Some of the glass art is really extraordinary.
