Best instruction and knowledge plus patience for novices. Even though I ave been sailboarding for many years, it was essential to take Steve's one on one quality lessons.

After losing $300 to a "St. Petersburg" based instructor who took the money over the internet and then failed to ever agree to meet, I went to the Skyway where you see kiteboarders and found real instructors where they should be, on the beach with customers.
Kiss The Sky Kiteboarding is at the site most days and is very prompt. I had 3 lessons in 8 days and am now riding on my own. Kiss the Sky has lots of wetsuits and gear for you to match the weather conditions. Highly recommended!

Think Kiteboarding is out of your league? Think again! Steve is everything you'd expect from a professional instructor and more. He's knowledgeable, experienced, and attentive. He has infinite patience and positive enthusiasm. He'll having you kissing the sky in no time at all! I cannot recommend highly enough!

I had researched several kiteboarding companies in the area about a week before my wife and I's visit to the area. Kiss the Sky was at the top of almost every list I looked at, so I decided to give them a call and set up a lesson for us. I talked to Steve and we were able to set up a lesson for the next day. Steve remained in contact with us and updated us on the weather right up until the lesson. The wind was a little weak, so we ended up working with a trainer kite on land. The wind was weak for the next few days, so we decided to come again later in the year when the weather will be better. Overall, Steve was awesome and I would HIGHLY recommend Kiss the Sky to anyone looking to get into Kiteboarding!

Do yourself a favor and use this outfit to get lessons for Kiteboarding. I took my whole family and couldn't be happier. The owner made sure that my two sons 11 and 13 had a great time , so much so that they want me to buy them their own equipment to continue. Being from New York it is too expensive for the whole family for lessons but the price was very reasonable and affordable. Even though we did not have the best conditions the owner made sure we learned the necessary information to get a safe and secure start .
Highly recommended !

I decided at the last minute to continue some lessons but was unable to secure a time with "hooked on kiteboarding ". Aaron M. (H.O.K.) referred me to another operation, "Kiss the Sky" at the same location in St. Petersburg by the skyway.
It was nice to realize that these kite boarding instructors from separate businesses have a good working relationship. They work with each other to meet the customer needs. In my case, it was fulfilling a last minute request for lessons to be able to kite upwind.
Steve of Kiss the Sky kiteboarding was very personable and a lot of fun to work with. Most importantly he helped me achieve my goal of boarding upwind. He was determined to have me successfully complete several runs in both directions upwind, so that I would solidify the experience.
Tips and suggestions from this experienced kite boarder were invaluable, And watching him demonstrate the proper technique helped me to visualize what I needed to do for success.
I would definitely suggest Kiss The Sky for kiteboarding lessons!

I had a great time with Kiss the Sky Kiteboarding! Steve clearly knows his stuff, plus he's friendly, patient, and fun. Setting up the lesson took a little flexibility (changed days/times based on conditions), but I really appreciate that Steve planned around weather/wind to give us a good experience.
Great environment, too. The bay was warm (April) and with a very gradual slope; seemed perfect for beginners and experts alike.
After the 3 hour intro lesson I was able to get up on the board, but not for very long -- left me itching to try again. Overall, had an exciting, safe, unforgettable time!

At 57 years of age and 130 pounds, I don't have a lot of strength or stamina to work with. No matter, this sport is about finesse and coordination. Steve is infinitely patient with my slower learning style and a good judge of what I can accomplish. I have already gotten up on the board after a few short lessons and I see a lot of wind in my future!

Can't say enough! Courteous, intelligent knows his sport! A truly sharing individual from the time we started on the beach til back out of the water. Professional, that truly shares his knowledge of sport and maintained safety from the get go! My first lesson was with Steve and 2nd surely will be with him as well! If driving over the skyway stop, pull up and ask him for a lesson. Do it today!
