- Hoff100Delray Beach, Florida5 contributionsWho knew glass could do all this! This exhibit is an amazing sensory experience. The light makes the glass colors and shapes pop. Around each corner was another marvel. Strongly recommend spending time watching the movie of Chihuly narrating how he works and thinks. It was a surprise to learn that the installations are very much a team effort. Finally, strongly recommend walking across the street to watch the glass blowing demonstration.Visited February 2020Written February 22, 2020
- sengokujidaiSalt Lake City, Utah294 contributionsBeautiful, luminescent! My group came across an ad for the Chihuly exhibit on a tourist map and decided to drop by after visiting the Dali museum. We didn’t know much about the exhibit or artist. But we throughly enjoyed the beautiful glass sculptures and the lighting that best set off their beautiful inner glow. I was sad the gift shop didn’t have more glass items available, but we did get a lovely glass rose made by a local artist (ask the cashier for artist name). There was some debate over whether or not an exhibit that was supposed to only take 30 minutes should cost us $20 a person, but personally I enjoyed it enough (and was mentally prepared for expensive museums when I came to Florida) that it didn’t bother me. There is a little film at the end of the exhibit that was actually quite fascinating to watch and I would recommend stopping to watch it!Visited April 2021Written May 7, 2021
- KaMar4486Yardley, Pennsylvania310 contributionsLove Chihuly glass! This museum has beautiful and colorful glass displays. If I wouldn't have visited the Chihuly glass museum in Seattle, I wouldn't have been disappointed at how small this one was. But nonetheless, the artwork was fabulous and worth seeing. The admission price is a little high but it also includes a glassblowing demonstration which was very interesting. Very nice gift shop in the glassblowing building with many beautiful pieces for sale by various artists.Visited January 2020Written January 25, 2020

Great location, easy parking. Very small. I paid my $18 senior fee at 11 am, read every written notation, looked at every piece, took pictures, and was done before 11:30. The best part, which took the longest time, was the film documentaries about Chihuly and his work.

The collection was beautiful to look at. It was also fun to learn the progression of the artist and how his art developed. I just wish the museum was a little longer. The $20 per person is a little steep for a short museum.

If like Chihuly glass at all I highly recommend a visit to see this collection. My wife and I were able to view the whole exhibit and watch a short video about Chihuly in about 90 minutes. This collection has great samples of all his types of his artwork. The only negative is there isn’t a dedicated parking lot and nearby street parking is limited. I recommend visiting early in the day.

I love the glass of Chihuly. There were some great pieces displayed. However, I was disappointed that there was not MORE!! The fee to get in was about $20 and I felt that there was not enough of his work displayed to make it worth the effort to visit and the cost involved. What was there was gorgeous though so if you love his work, you will not be disappointed. I especially love his chandeliers and there were only about 4-5.

We paid $46 for one parent and two teens to tour and the entire experience lasted under 10 minutes. The building is large but the tour very short. Extremely disappointing after visiting Chihuly museum in Seattle. They offer that their tickets include admission to the glass blowing and modern art museums close by but those of those are free to enter. I don’t understand how this place has such high reviews from others. We laughed at what a waste of money it was considering how short the tour was.

The are some glass works of art here that stagger the imagination! The cost is a bit high, but we were fascinated with the size and beauty of these pieces. Every room has a new wonderful surprise. This Gallery is well worth visiting.

GO TO THIS COLLECTION! This collection is magnificant/breathtaking/a "have to see it" collection. I spent over 2 hours viewing the collection. There are seats around some of the pieces to linger and enjoy. Also good for handicap persons who have trouble walking. The entry charge also includes a glass blowing talk while making a beauiful piece. This is well worth your time also. Yoy will mot be disappointed!

We’ve seen Chihuly in Toronto, the Bronx botanical garden, Las Vegas, Palm Beach ... We didn’t see anything different but it was a beautiful collection of his glass all together in one place with a gift shop and his glassblowing studio across the street. Admission was $20 discounted for students, seniors, veterans and children.

One of our favorite tings about downtown St Pete is all of the art museums. The Chihuly Collection fits right in.
Funky, beautiful, interesting. The exhibit is so well done, it’s hard to stay disciplined enough to study one stunning display because of the intrigue you know awaits around the next corner. It is so well done.
And the art? Well, what can I say! It is truly amazing. How did he do that?
While you shop, dine and cocktail in this hip little neighborhood - sliding in this mesmerizing display for 30 min will give you lots to talk about at your next lunch or happy hour.
They are requesting patrons wear masks. Grab that one in your car before you go.

The admission price of $18 per senior was money well spent.
What an awesome display of Dale Chihuly's talent enhanced by dream picture taking opportunities. Unforgettable and unique
A pleasant young man...Ashton...just inside the entrance, was informative, helpful and up-beat. After our self guided 'tour' thru this amazing collection we ended at the gift shop. Dale Chihuly's pieces are quite spendy but we did buy a piece that was on display from a local artist. Again...Ashton was pleasant and helpful with our transaction.

Use Google to look for coupons if you need a special rate. When we went in June 2018, it was $5 admission because we happen to be there during Arts Weekend (not sure of the name). It was a busy Saturday, but not so crowded that you could not enjoy the exhibit. We parked on the street a block away.

How Different is it from the Chihuly Gardens in Seattle?
We’ve spent time at the permanent Chihuly museum in Seattle (highly recommended!) and as Florida residents are wondering if this is worth the trip/admission. Can anyone who’s been to both compare them?

We've been to both Chihuly exhibits. The Seattle Gardens and Museum are much larger than the St. Petersburg, but cost approximately $30 for Seattle vs. $20 for St. Pete. The single reason to visit St. Pete's museum (in my opinion) is the film that looks into his works in Israel and elsewhere.

There are no formal tours, but the museum is small and you can take as much time as you like. As stated above, across the street is an interesting glass blowing demonstration that is included with your ticket.

Your admission ($20 / adult) includes admission to the blown glass demonstration held one block away; be sure to see this! Very interesting.
