After calling numerous kayak rental places before that could not accommodate my linebacker built husband, we were super excited that Liberty was able to provide a kayak that fit him. My husband, daughter and I rented kayaks for 4 hours. We met up at the designated launch point and we were given some tips on where to kayak to go through the mangrove tunnel. Kayaks were well made and similar to what we’re used to. We will definitely rent from again when we return to the area. Definitely recommend!

This company is oblivious to being considerate at the public kayak launch site. They leave their kayaks unattended blocking access to the launching entrances. There’s currently no attempt to perform social distancing for their tours and have their large groups gather and linger at the entrance. The entrance is a public access and they treat it like their property. They should be more aware that there are vulnerable citizens that just want to get there kayaks in and out of the water without passing through a party.

A great family-friendly adventure, ALSO a great social distancing adventure. :) Nick was very knowledgable of all the history and wildlife in the area. He was also wonderful at interacting with our kids, answering their questions and gently educating them when our 4-year-old kept saying all the birdies were babies, or sisters, or daddies. We learned so much on this trip and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing and educational adventure to get their family out in nature. Thank you, Nick!

We LOVED our kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve with Nick. We booked this through AirBnB (but, for some reason can't leave a review there) and we really were not sure what to expect. There were several kayak tour options through other companies, but Nick's seemed to be straight forward and without the gimmicks others used. We were just four northern adults who wanted to spend some casual time on the water under the sun. And that's exactly what we got. First of all, experience in a kayak is not necessary at all. The kayak is a perfect way to casually experience the beauty of this area. The bay is only about 3 or 4 feet deep in most of the area, so there is no reason to be concerned about the water. While we had mild temperatures in November, you should probably bring plenty of water and maybe some snacks in hotter months. Nick met us at exactly 10:00 am - as his email said he would - and we were finished shortly after 1:00 pm. The kayaks were tandem sit-on type and were more than adequate for the tour. He provided dry bags for phones, wallets, etc, and was very willing to accommodate whatever needs we had. Nick is obviously very familiar with the wildlife and geography of the area and was able to communicate that as the opportunities came up. We learned so much about the area in a tour that never felt rushed or strenuous. Quite honestly, with Nick's personality, it was like a casual float with a family member who had moved to the area and wanted to show you everything he had discovered. Without a doubt, this was the most enjoyable of everything we did while in the St Pete area this week and I would recommend it to anyone.

I HIGHLY recommend Nick and Liberty Tours. We have been kayaking in FL for a few years and we learned more about the area having Nick inform us about the beauty and nature we live in and around. He was flexible enough to respond to all of my questions but not bore the others that were just interested in a lovely day on the water. We would definitely use him again.
