Beautiful museum. The area on the right was awesome. The seasonal exhibits in the left were nice, one was very odd and slightly distasteful but that's not the museum's fault.

This is a great small museum. There are ancient sculptures, Indian art, a few of the old masters--like a small Renoir. But I liked the innovative modern exhibits best--often done w/ computer video. I loved the gallery that juxtaposed a clock with a beach scene in a very unique way. In the same room were two artists who posed as... More

The Museum of Fine Arts offered a wonderful mix of artifacts, fine art and sculptures. There was plenty to see and experience. It was much bigger than we thought and it took almost 3 hours to tour the entire museum. A surprisingly great treat!

This museum had such different carved figures, furniture from i believe from mexico (i hope to remember correctly). Then look at this awesome drawn picture with the bike. Look at first frontwards. Then sideways and it seems like the bike is riding out of the picture. I had to share this with all if you because...wow...so cool. Brilliant. And also... More

We truly enjoyed our visit to this museum. Admittance fees were more reasonable than most at $17.00 for adults under 65. The galleries are small, but numerous. Each room provides a theme or collection of a certain time and/or place. Easy to casually wander from room to room. Very well structured. There are two small sculpture gardens as well. You... More

Lorraine, Thank you for your very comprehensive review of the MFA. We, of course, are prejudiced about our beautiful museum located in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, but when we read such accolades from our visitors it makes it all the more special to us. Thank you again for visiting us and we hope to see you soon! Please... More

As a St. Pete native been here several times. They have a large selection of various types of art and sometimes bring in certain artists' collections. It does not have the amount of masterpieces you might see in European or very large cities, but the art is just as interesting and enjoyable. The gift shop has a large selection of... More

This little gem has it all. Great paintings, ancient art, interesting new exhibits, art glass, pottery, and a little modern video art. It will not leave you guessing like museums devoted to ultra modern art. Here seeing is believing - not believing is seeing. The restaurant for lunch is great.

The museum has parking there so don't do like I did and drive around looking for a parking space only to find a 2 hr meter. Everyone that greeted us was very nice and friendly. There was something for everyone as the variety of art was enough to give you a taste of everything. There is enough different art to... More

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your visit to the MFA, the oldest museum in St. Petersburg in the heart of the downtown area. Yes, we have a small parking lot attached to our building and several MFA spaces on the East side of our property, but there are three-hour meters on Bayshore Boulevard and you... More
