you don't expect to find wildlife in the middle of a large city, but here is such a place. We took our grandson here and we saw several alligators big and small. He was very impressed

The park is an oasis of plants and local birds, lizards and crocodiles that makes for a fantastic place for an afternoon. Picnic areas are available and the boardwalk is fantastic. It isn't far off the beaten track. Well worth it.

Went with a friend who has lived in St. Pete for years. Plenty of easy to walk wooden boardwalk trails. Wildlife galore! Exotic fish in the streams. Alligator look outs. A must see. Try a picnic.

Yes, most of the park is stroller friendly! We see parents with strollers all the time.

This is a good time of year to say that it is pretty safe that you won;t see snakes, They are likely underground because of the cold.
