Went with a friend who has lived in St. Pete for years. Plenty of easy to walk wooden boardwalk trails. Wildlife galore! Exotic fish in the streams. Alligator look outs. A must see. Try a picnic.

This free park is a real gem. We were on our way back to Tampa after a week in Florida and had some time to kill. After seeing the great reviews we stopped here for an hour or so. Most of the paths are boardwalks...More

We came in the evening. We spend two hours there. It was great. We saw many beautiful birds and fish, an alligator and an armadillo. I have never seen an armadillo. It was so cute.

This has been a favorite of mine for many years, but with intermittent visits. I guess I haven't been there for a while. I was sorry to see that all the canals and ponds are choked with plants. I don't know whether these are invasive,...More

This is a beautiful park with great boardwalks through all of elements of nature. The Sawgrass and Maple trails are well-adapted for wheel chairs and strollers. The Oak Hammock is good for those who want the experience of walking in nature. There are all kinds...More

If you’re searching for nail-biting thrills, go elsewhere. This is a relaxing boardwalk through authentic Florida landscape. Spotted a few alligators, which was our goal.

Lots of fish, turtles and alligators. Be careful going after a rain as the boardwalk is slippery. Go to the tower for great views.

For some strange reason I've never been here...you know how locals rarely enjoy the places closest to them? My daughter and I were spending the day together and as this day was one of the best of Florida "winter" days we decided to go to...More

We took my grand daughter (aged 5) there on 31 December, 2018. We saw a year old gator, one about 3, and an adult. We spotted two soft shell turtles, two sliders, and countless birds. With three good trails, all on board walks, this is...More

Yes, most of the park is stroller friendly! We see parents with strollers all the time.

This is a good time of year to say that it is pretty safe that you won;t see snakes, They are likely underground because of the cold.

May I ask one more question, please? According to the reviewers on Tripadvisors Things to Do from Treasure Island, this is the Number One favourite. Is it likely to be worth a visit in early/mid March, please? Is it as good as people say or should we use our limited time in Treasure Island to visit something else? What other Must See places would you suggest?

it depends t ,i is a sleepy eyed beach town, and the majority of people never stray from the beach , however, if its something you really want to do go for it. it really depends if you want to,..we only leave to go shopping in the tyrone square mall, or the west park mall...
