I am so glad we choose Adventure Cruises with Captain Ian and Captain Steve. We wanted to take the kids snorkeling but they had a dolphin watching and shelling cruise scheduled. I chatted with them about my needs and they explained the details of the cruise so I could decide if it was right for our family. We choose to do the cruise and they provided clean, sterilized snorkel equipment that was very high quality and the right sizes for adults and kids. The crew had a driver and a watcher, which I think is one secret to their success in finding dolphins. We saw many dolphins and it was great, but I appreciated their introduction where they set realistic expectations that these are wild creatures and we may or may not see them; yet, the crew clearly knew all the dolphin hang outs and had a system in place of spotting and appropriate pattern to allow the best chance of spotting dolphins. Everyone was professional and polite. The lady at check in was very kind and knowledgeable, too. I highly recommend this company.

A party of 8 of us went on the 2 hour dolphin cruise to shell island. It was a cloudy day which worked well as we didn't want the sun beating down on us while we were off the boat. There was only 1 other party on the boat so we had plenty of space and the cruise was relaxed and friendly. It was a big plus that we could take our own beer on the boat. Overall it represented great value for money as some of the other cruises we look at were nearly $20 per head more expensive. Would recommend eating afterwards at the Salty Dog Brewery. The food there is excellent.

Dolphin searching then watching and hoping they would resurface. We had several sightings. The Captain with his daughter as helper, spotter, energetic "hostess" were a fun and terrific team! Trip perfect length with patience of our "Team" in finding and then allowing us time to experience the dolphins while allowing ample time for shell collecting.

We did the 2 hour dolphin watch and Shell Island tour. The staff was wonderful. They worked with other boats in the area to make sure we saw some dolphins. We had lots of time on Shell Island which was BEAUTIFUL. So many shells everywhere and the water was so clear!! We even saw a group of Manta Rays swim by!

This was a fun trip to take! We took the boat out to see dolphins and to shell island. On our trip they went out of their way to make sure we saw several dolphins! When we got to shell island he gave us some great tips to find sand dollars and shells. Went out about shoulder high water and bam, all the shells you could pick up. The bonus was a manatee was also swimming in the area.

From booking to check in to the actual tour everything was fantastic!! We saw many dolphins and had just the right amount of time to collect shells. Some families, some couples, some groups of friends on board. They do allow you to bring a drink! So glad we did the Dolphin Tour with Adventure Cruises!!!

I would never recommend this excursion to anyone. My husband and I have done many excursions over the years, and this made it to the far bottom of the list. Of the two captains, one seemed friendly, but not overly so. The other one did nothing but bark at passengers and at the co-captain. We were taken to Egmont Key and given the choice to bone up on our snorkeling skills (no fish to be seen, but just practice) or to simply explore the little island. Had this been part of the description of the excursion, we would have known to bring insect repellent. BRING SOME if you choose to take this excursion and walk explore at all. As our boat backed out, one captain must have done something wrong, so the grumpy captain barked at him again as they fixed the issue. Did we really need to hear that on our paid excursion? We then went to open water to snorkel, but after a solid 10 minutes of the captains trying to anchor the boat, we were told that the visibility wouldn't be good, and we were heading to the other side of Egmont Key to snorkel instead. No visibility there, either, but supposedly it was clear earlier that morning. We got into the water anyway, and never saw anything farther than our hand in front of our faces. To me, snorkeling in murky ocean makes me a little uneasy, so this was not a good time. I can't blame them for the visibility, but the captains should take blame for the over all atmosphere of the excursion itself. What a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I took my 7 year old son and 73 year old mom on one of the boats and we had a great time! the 1pm event was a very family friendly experience. The captains were great, they searched really hard for dolphins for us to see. I would do it again.

We got super lucky on our trip and had crystal clear water and the water was super calm. They also only had 12 passengers that morning so that was a plus. I didn't realize we would be making 2 stops on the trip. It takes roughly an hour to get to the island. But we stopped on the island and got to explore there for 45 mins then got to snorkel for about another 45 mins. All in all if I had the same experience we'd do it a million times. For the price it's definitely well worth it 👌🏼

We had a great time on the adventure cruise. We first went to an island for swimming, shelling, and exploring some historical sights. From there we went snorkeling which was so relaxing. The folks running the tour were accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend this tour to break up a beach vacation!
