I love Merry Pier. I come here to fish often (have caught snapper, snook, mak, flounder, lady fish) and also stop to grab bait when fishing St Pete, Ft Desoto or Pass a Grille. Always have live and frozen bait. They rent rods, have charter services that take off from here and sell fishing gear, food and beer.

We rode our bikes there every night and it was so relaxing...dark and lit up by the moon and we got to see boats going by, fish, and just enjoyed the gentle warm breeze.

Stopped in to check on a tour and was able to pick up a shelling net that I used for shelling on the beach.

Great fishing, my husband caught a tarpon off here. Must take the boat for she'll key. If you're gonna fish all day bring lots of sunscreen and mabye an umbrella, can get hot in summer.

Whether you are looking for a fishing trip or time on shell island this is the stop for you. Super friendly folks that enjoy what they do. After a trip out on the water stop in the shop and grab a beverage/tshirt or fresh fish to take home!

For the last 5 years, my family has vacationed in Pass-A-Grille. My hubby and son have loved getting up in the mornings to go fishing on/at Merry Pier. They buy their shrimp right there, and get "their spot" for the morning! My son loves going in to the store for an ice cream treat. And, one year I forgot to... More
