On the southern end of St. Pete Beach, Merry Pier in Pass A Grille has fishing & boating, a store & fish market. You can sign up for boat ride, get rod & tackle, buy bait. Take the boat and snorkel off Egmont Key, watch dolphins as the sunsets.

I grew up fishing at Merry Pier. But it's been a few decades since I had been back. Took the family to Pass-a-Grille for five days at the beach. We made sure to fish at the pier when we were there.

Not much has changed at Merry Pier since I was young (which is refreshing). They still have everything you need to fish, including pole rentals and a lot of answers. Great service from the folks who work there. They treated us like old friends. This is a good old-fashioned fishing pier and a great place to spend time with the family. I can't wait to go back.

There are no side rails on the pier making it unsafe for small children - bring life vests! This was a popular spot for fisherman - it was quite busy and there is great bird watching here.

If you're driving along in, Passe a Grill, south St Pete, you may run across this quaint little pier along part of the Intercostal Waterway.

It's a nice spot to stop for awhile and take a look around, not to mention a good fishing spot.

It's only a block east of the beach and the gulf.

It's worth a stop to relax, get out, and stretch your legs and catch your breath. I find it very relaxing.

I'm sure you will too.

A short 10 minute boat ride to shell island. Loads of shells to pick up. Merry Pier rents beach chairs and give you umbrellas to use. Great for family fun. Note: there are no bathrooms or concessions on shell island.

Thank you. This review is for the Shell Key Shuttle and we do give every group a beach umbrella to share, a mask and snorkel and a shell bag for each person. The pier rents chairs and sells all sorts of supplies and you are welcome to bring folding chairs and coolers, just no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the island.

Great place for fishing. Had some time to myself one morning so I walked down to drop a line in the water. As long as you only fish off the pier it is only $3 for an out of stater. They also rent equipment which is pretty cool. Just watch out for the pelicans... they will steal your fish.

My wife and I have passed by the Merry Pier often either driving or walking on our way to the dog beach or just walking around PAss-A-Grille visiting the restaurants like Seahorse, Hurricanes, or Paradise Grille. The pier is always busy with people fishing and boats docking to take people on fish or other tours. The view across the inlet is always a nice site with large homes. Even if you don't fish, it is good to see all the seagulls, pelicans, and other birds. It is also a good area for dolphin watching.

Located across from the Seahorse Restaurant almost at the end of Pass-a-Grille, Merry Pier is a small pier where one can book boating/fishing trips. It is a fun stop in the early evening when the fishermen return and clean their fish. All manner of seabirds gather to get the scraps, and it is interesting to watch (especially the kids). Parking right on the street.
