My husband and our 2 kids went on the shell key shuttle. The boat ride was quick and the staff super nice! The Island is so beautiful!!! You will feel like you're on a secluded tropical island! Awesome shells to find. My husband found a sand dollar. They give you an umbrella and snorkel gear, which was great. We stayed... More

It's a short boat ride where you literally get dropped off on the island. There is a few shuttles a day or maybe even 1-2 hours, but once you are out there--You are there until the shuttle comes back. You can get shells, and we found a ton, in the water and walking around. As for the shuttle, the staff... More

We provide our guests with a beach umbrella, mask and snorkel and a shell bag but it is never a bad idea to bring extra umbrellas if you have them. We give each group of 3-4 one umbrella, larger groups get 2 or 3 depending on the size of the group. Thank you for the nice review. More

We took the shuttle from here to Shell Key. Loved it!! If you can, walk as far as you can away from where the shuttle drops you off! The shelling is way better and there is hardly anyone over there! Make sure to get a mask and snorkel when you get off the shuttle!!

We did this today. I love to pick shells- it's my thing--- while I wouldn't say I brought home an abundance of shells, I will say I got quality shells. I probably could have picked 40 pounds of shells if I wasn't super picky because there are PLENTY of shells on the island. My sons used swim masks and found... More

We took a quick trip to Shell Key Island via The shuttle. It cost around $80 for the four of us. They give you a shell bag and tell you where the best place to go on the island is. They provide you with umbrella and snorkeling gear if you need it. The trip is quick, about 10 minute, and... More

Loved the affordable boat ride and the driver even circled around for guests to have better pictures of dolphins. The snorkeling off the island is pretty great and a group actually was able to snorkel around some manatees. We were actually there in September of 2013 but are nearby again and plan on repeating the trip

We found the brochure at our hotel and was the best outing of our vacation!! We called to ask about details and were told to call the morning we go just to check for a weather update. They provided umbrellas and masks and snorkels. We brought our own chairs and packed lunches. They do explain that there are areas you... More

Went with my mother in law daughters, she's 13 and 8,and my 2 year old son. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a nice surprise to see that they lend umbrellas and snorkeling gear to whoever needs and also gives you a map of the island and bags for your shells. My daughters had fun, my son,... More

This was our second time to use Shell Island Shuttle in as many years. We will continue to enjoy this activity each year that we visit. It was a short, beautiful ride on the shuttle boat to Shell Island. The island is uninhabited! This provides a unique shelling experience. We found 2 intact sand dollars (last year we didn't find...
