My boyfriend and I found this on trip advisor! We went while on vacation, and we were in awe. It was so beautiful. There was only a few of us on the island so that made it really special. We stayed on the island for almost 5 hours, we found amazing shells. And swam around it the water for almost... More

I highly recommend this to visitors. Family's are welcome, to include doggies. Professional, clean, friendly, fun, exciting. This was my second trip to Shell Key, I most definitely will do this again . . . .

Thank you Sue. Just one clarification -- dogs are not allowed on our day trips to Shell Key Preserve but they are welcome on our evening Sunset/Dolphin watching cruises. We hope to see you again soon! More

Picked up the shuttle at Merry Pier and went to Shell Key Island. Beautiful, all types of shells everywhere. We walked all the way to the closed beach and back, picking up many shells along the way. After 2 hours took the shuttle back. So peaceful and quiet, just walking along the beach. So relaxing. Now to lunch

We visited Shell Key on Sunday October 16th with our 2 boys (8 & 6) and my mother and father-in-law. Everyone had so much fun. We saw starfish, horseshoe crabs & stingrays all swimming around us. My only regret is that we didn't pack enough snacks & water to keep everyone happy for a few more hrs. The staff is... More

The service provided by Shell Key Shuttle was OK. They get you on the pontoon boat and get you to the island - basic service. The Shell Key Shoal was in very poor condition. There had been a recent red tide with a large fish kill. The beach was covered in dead fish with a smell you might expect with... More

We are sorry you encountered red tide during your visit. I see you are a local person from Brandon, Florida, so I assume you've being hearing reports about red tide moving through our area for the last several weeks. When we are asked about red tide we always answer truthfully that yes, it has been in our area lately, some... More

We took the shuttle to Shell Key for a 4 hour visit. It's only about a 10 minute trip, and they run it several times a day. It's a solid operation with friendly, well informed people. A big plus is that they provide umbrellas (a must on a sunny day) and snorkeling equipment. There are certainly a lot of shells... More

We got to the pier about 30 min early and paid and got our parking pass ($3 all day). We bought our own snacks and beverages but there is a store on the dock with everything you need. The boat ride is about 10min so you can have more island time. They provide snorkel gear and the best thing is... More

I totally enjoyed myself today, I was in my element. I love the beach and I love looking for shells. Found quite a few Sand Dollars and a ton of shells. They were in abundance today. I will tell you, I will definitely be back. They were so professional and concerned for our safety. I won't go with any other... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our excursion on the Shell Key Shuttle. We took the 10 am boat, which meant we could choose to stay 2, 4, or 6 hours on the secluded piece of paradise just off the tip of Pass-a-Grille. We walked the perimeter of the key and took home some beautiful shells, spent time snorkeling with... More

Their friendly/professional service to Shell Key is very pleasant. They don't spend the time talking and trying to sell goods or other services. Very responsive to questions, and detailed direction to make your visit to the Key most enjoyable. Great shells, birds and snorkeling.
