We made a couple of nice walks along the beach. Viewed a pretty sunset and enjoyed the white sand. You can find a couple of nice places to eat and/or drink as well.

St Pete beach is a great location. There are public bathroom facilities, beach activity rentals and restaurants/bars for everyone.

Not good sand to build in due to large amounts of shell sediments. Hurts your feet to walk on on the shell sediments. It's not overly crowded though.

Everything is here for a great holiday for everyone. Gently sloping beach is great for kids, the powdered white sand is glorious and the wildlife is spectacular. Plenty of beach shops and varied eateries are all close.

Numerous places to stay, lots of activities, safe family-friendly beach. Lots of off-beach locales to visit in the area like Fort DeSoto, downtown St. Pete, etc...and great weather year-round.

Not sure of total distance. I walked 3 miles according to my phone, but did not go to the end.

What is the cost to be on the beach? What are the hours? I have a service dog. Will he be allowed? Can we bring our own beach umbrella and chairs? Is parking nearby and what does it cost? Is there a restaurant nearby and changing rooms?

Access to beach is free. Parking is not free. IHOP & chick a filet are right across the street. You can bring your own chairs and umbrella.
