    Clean beach!
We came in october 2023, its a very clean beach, there were heavy rip currents that day and I have traveled all over the world but I almost drowned here and was out of breath when we got back to shore. Thank the Lord for this! This didn't deter us, we went back out but was cautious and the current toned down. We spent the whole day there and also went down to the pier and saw the beach from different angles. I really liked the different hues in the sand , the sand had oranges, blues, really nice beach.

    St Augustine Beach
We have been to St Augustine beach many times, its a great place to ride a bike or walk. You can even drive on parts of the beach. We live on the west coast of Florida so the beaches are very different on the east coast. But we enjoy the beach very much.

    Incredible beauty
Incredible small scale white Sandy beach. There is limited 4x4 driving on the beach too. A couple for beachside sandwich shacks and a restaurant on the sand. Laid back atmosphere.

    Small and nice
This is a late review … we were here Thanksgiving week 2023. This beach was two blocks from our hotel, so the location was convenient. We got lucky that we got one good beach day in, since it wasn’t really beach weather. The beach was nice and clean and it was dog friendly so that was a bonus. I would definitely visit this beach if in the area again!

I had seen everyone’s pics and thought the water would be a lot prettier and the sand but that’s not the case the sand is not the white pretty sand the water is not that pretty green blue . You can’t walk in the beach at night cause the water comes all the way up to the stairs and concert barrier . It had red flags we where they the whole Time tons of seas foam . The water is so rough .

    A Vast and Lovely Beach
This review covers the wide beach near Guy Harvey Resort. I was on the beach with a cup of coffee at 6:45 to catch the sunrise. There were only a few other people on the beach at that hour and the sand stretches for miles in either direction. As the day progresses, hotel and resort guests start to dot the beachscape, but it's really mostly beautiful and quiet. No parasailing or jet ski shops near where I was. No one hawking anything! Just the beach and the waves and little shore birds with their skinny little legs racing around like an old timey Keystone Kops movie! The Atlantic is pretty cold at that hour, but I had to get my feet in there and after a while you don't even notice the cold. Dunes located closer to beachside properties are filled with wildflowers and seagrasses that scent the air. The beach itself was spotless. Though the hotels and condos that line the beach are large, they appear tiny when viewed from the beach side. Local ordinance limits the height of buildings and that's a good thing as there are no high rises to block views. Loved every second of my time here.

    Great experience
St Augustine Beach is so much more than just a beach. There was a small playground next to a fairly big splash pad. It was next to the fishing pier and the entrance to the beach was right in the middle of it all. My kids had a blast.

    We'd come back.
Not a busy beach which is nice. There is a lifeguard on duty and you have the option to drive on the beach for $10. I would suggest bringing an umbrella with you. Not a ton of shells but there are some options. There's multiple restaurants close to this beach which is also great.

    Beautiful beach!
Beautiful beach. Right now they are doing some construction to make the beach better by the pier. So yes, there’s some construction noise. Don’t let that bother you or make false claims on here. There’s miles of this beach that have beautiful scenery!!

The sand’s like a pillow beneath your bare feet, Warm and inviting, it’s truly a treat. Build castles or relax as the sea breezes blow, There’s magic in every tide, don’t you know? With every wave’s whisper and seagull’s call, You’ll find a paradise that enchants one and all. So grab your sunblock and head to this shore, For fun and relaxation, you couldn’t ask for more. St. Augustine Beach, oh what a sight, A gem of a getaway from morning till night. So come on down, let your worries drift, In this coastal wonder where spirits uplift!

We stayed at a hotel in the beach so it was right there. There are no chairs or umbrellas proceeds by the hotel which I found odd. Someone drives up and down the beach and had a limited number to rent $40 for two chairs and an umbrella for the day. Lots of shells that could be easily found. Look like it would have been fun to go in and jump around in the waves if the weather wasn’t so cold. Not crowded at all since it’s the beginning of January

Enjoyed this beach - we had gone to the beach at the Anastasia park earlier. The public beach did not have the long walk over the dune, so if you were carting loads of stuff....that could be a consideration. Public parking seems to be limited per area, but there are several areas to choose from along the beach.

The beach itself is beautiful white sand - not many rocks or shells. The day we were there it was a strong current and there were lifeguards posted.

We drove over and parked for free in the St Augustine Beach parking lot. The beach access was easy. There were public restrooms nearby and were very clean. A splash pad and play ground for kids was also free. There were plenty of restaurants to walk to. We paid a small fee and enjoyed walking and watching people from the county pier.

We have been to Seacrest, Panama City, Gulf Shores, and Hernando Beach/County areaa, and St. Augustine may be my new favorite. The sand is coarser, but the kids found lots of small shells and a shark tooth. The lack of high rises makes the area much more relaxing and family friendly than so many other beachfront communities. The beach is not crowded, and the quaint old city atmosphere is filled with history and charm. We only had 2 nights, 1 full day, an evening, and a morning to stay in the area. The weather was cool, but the beach was still beautiful and enjoyable. The gulls were not as obnoxious as some, the surf was fun for my boys, who didn't mind getting wet in spite of the mid 60s minus windchill. The walk up toward the pier and state park was very enjoyable, and we saw very little trash on the beach. Condos, homes, and hotels are spaced apart so you can enjoy the dunes and the beach.

Saint Augustine Beach stretches from Vilano Beach to Flagler Beach. Crescent Beach has free parking and good restaurant there South Beach and new one opening soon - Safe Harbor.
Vilano is a little Shellie to walk on in bare feet. St. Augustine Beach at pier has parking and real restrooms. There is a water park for kids with tables. There are volleyball courts too. You can get pay and ride on the beach if you have 4 wheel vehicle. If you live in St. John’s County you can pay for yearly pass. Great deal!!
The beach is hard at Crescent and Butler Beach . There are many walkers and bikers on the beach during the day. You can walk your dog. Have fun!!

We really loved St. Augustine (Old City) but quickly found out, unless you're good at saying no every 5 seconds to aggressive homeless people, you'll have a lousy time. You don;t have that problem at St. Auggy Beach. This is our new go to.

The pier area has free public parking and fairly spacious restrooms. There’s a splash pad and playground for kids. The pier has low rates for visitors, and corn dogs, peanuts and packaged ice cream treats in the gift shop. The beach is very wide and sandy. There are some awkward steps to get to the beach; not handicap friendly.

We walked the beach in February, which is not the best time to enjoy the beach. However, we had a very enjoyable time going for a walk. So, if you are in area, take time to enjoy. Sun, sand and water is a pretty combo. Enjoy!!!

The prettiest sunrise I’ve ever seen. Different every morning. Take a chair and a cup of coffee and enjoy. Or get your walking shoes on.
Dog friendly. I don’t have a dog but if I did, I would vacation here.
Surfers love the waves early in the morning about 7:00 am and starting again at 5:30 pm. We love watching them in the after dinner.
Butt friendly. If you love wearing a thong, this is the place for you.
This is My happy place. So peaceful and quiet. If you’re looking for relaxation, you’ve come to the right place.

One of the highlights of our trip was heading to St. Augustine Beach first thing in the morning on January 1st! The beach and the surf was the perfect backdrop for a leisurely walk to reflect on the past year and plan for the new one. The shells were abundant so if you like to shell seek, this may be a good spot for you. We stopped off at north beach and crossed over on a pedestrian bridge. The only negative was a huge pipeline running the length of the beach. It may not be permanently exposed but it was when we were there.
