Neat place that can teach some history to children. The park Rangers were helpful. It was cool to see the guys in the costumes and see the cannon shot.

The parking lot fills up fast so we got there early. It is very well maintained with a beautiful view of the city and the water. Definitely one of our favorite forts.

Part of the National Parks Service. Well maintained with some historic information. There was an attempt to create a feeling of what it was actually like to be stationed there.

Beautiful old ruins, great history behind the site, parking is very limited and there is a charge just to see the grounds

Enjoyed this historical visit. Views from the fort are pretty cool. We really enjoyed the cannon firing re-enactment, as well as the other demonstrations and "characters" inside the fort. I'd recommend a visit.

The history of this fort is pretty incredible, especially the fact that it was never taken by hostile forces.

History comes alive at this amazing National Park. The oldest fort in North America is chock filled with history, architecture, artifacts, knowledgeable docents and authentically costumed volunteers. Amazing canon display with live firing demonstration. Reasonable entrance fee is good for a week. Well worth a...More

You can't miss this place if you tried! We did some walking around the outside and it was interesting from a historical viewpoint. Kids would also enjoy it.

Loved the history and individuals dressed in period costumes doing presentations and reenacting past uses and events in the fort such as use of medical equipment and shootings cannon. Very informative and enjoyable.

No, it is closed due to Government shutdown. We were in St. Augustine in December when the shutdown started and it was closed.

They are $10, but if you have a Golden Eagle pass for the National Parks, you don't need to pay a fee.
