We took our 2nd cruise with Florida Water Tours this last Feb 2020 as an activity before dinner the day before our small destination wedding. Our first cruise with them was a Sunset Tour in May of 2019 and it was excellent, so we knew when planning our wedding that we wanted to do a private charter with them for our wedding weekend. With the amount of people we had, the price per person for our private charter was actually the same as a normal tour, so it’s a great value! The crew and bartender were excellent and were very informative. Since it was a private cruise, they let us decide what we were interested in seeing/hearing about, which for us was a mix of history and wildlife. I really wanted to see dolphins, and we ended up following quite a few of them, which was my favorite part of the cruise. Bird island was also great, and leaving the ship, we saw a sea turtle. For history, they had some great info on St Augustine. Since it was our wedding, we were able to do a champagne toast and also brought some cookies on board for our guests. Many of our group also took advantage of buying drinks from the awesome bartender, who was great to talk to. Our age range on the tour varied from age 4-70s and it was a good time for all. We absolutely loved the cruise and everyone that came for our wedding said that this cruise was the highlight of our weekend. You can also get a 10% discount on your meal at King Fish if you show them a receipt that you took a cruise with them. If you are looking for a great company to take a cruise with, pick this one - you won’t be disappointed!

We've booked a dolphin cruise with this group in the past, and it was great. Let me tell you about their latest nonprofit endeavor called "Florida Water Warriors." It's a Community Science Cruise, and WE LOVED IT. We went on their inaugural launch, and this hands-on initiative is just the thing for all ages learning and understanding the delicately balanced factors that make a healthy waterway and a good time at the beach. Using a mix of sophisticated digital equipment, microscopes, and gross-motor-skill bucket drops, participants like my third grade son became immediately engaged in the data collection and plankton identification effort. From land lubbers and water lovers to oceanic experts, this cruise is a memorable and authentic experience that will convert the tourist into active participant in taking care of Florida's water and wildlife resources. The knowledgeable and charismatic crew captivated and educated us with a backdrop of sea breezes, gulls, and gentle lapping waves in the light of the golden afternoon. My son was instantly 'hooked' on marine science! To cap off the gorgeous excursion, we were visited by a green sea turtle at the dock. Book now because you can't beat the price. Free.

We go on a sunset cruise every year and we’re a little worried that it wouldn’t be as good this year due to the state of things. We were wrong. It was just as great as always! Very informative tour that doesn’t constantly swamp you with information. Just some facts here and there about the city as you cruise the harbor and see the sights from a different view. There is also a bar on board. Our family also rented kayaks for a couple hours. Another great experience we will never forget. If you want to do a sightseeing cruise, this is the one to do!

I'm a resident, and love to take guests on these tours. I went on a full moon tour and so enjoy seeing both the moonlight on the water and St Augustine. The reminders of the history of this little gem of a city are worth hearing and each time it is different and entertaining.

This was an amazing experience. The 90-minute wine tasting tour was not only educational; it was also environmentally responsible. The crew, to include a US Coast Guard trained captain, was exceptional. We also had the privilege to see a pod of resident bottle-nose dolphins. I highly recommend this tour. Worth every penny.

Booked the wine tasting cruise based off of the reviews on TA. The location as it turns out was in a convenient place nearby to where we were staying on the Coastal Highway. There were a number of people on the wine tasting cruise that we went on. Check in was easy and we left on time. Beer and wine is for sale on the boat and it is easy to open a tab. The price for this cruise is reasonable and comparable to similar activities in the area.

The cruise itself was fantastic. We got to see a ton of dolphins around the ship as we cruised along. We got to sample six different wines from white to red - our personal favorites being the Vintner Red and Vintner White (sweet wines, local to San Sebastián Winery in St. Aug). There was plenty of wine tasting to be had and the crew was very friendly and knowledgeable about St. Augustine and ocean wildlife.

I highly recommend this cruise and will definitely return to try the sunset and dolphin cruises.

This was one of my favorite activities in St. Augustine. We saw 3 dolphins. 1hr 15 min is the perfect length of time to get your money’s worth and not get bored. My 4 yr old son was fascinated with the guide Kevin, who was patient enough to answer all of his questions. There is a bathroom on board and you can buy drinks and snacks. They thought of everything. You won’t be disappointed!

Marcel and crew made this a great experience. We saw a group of feeding stingrays and many dolphins during the sunset part of the cruise. The Christmas lights were spectacular as we viewed St Augustine at night from the water. A romantic way to propose…I said, “YES!”

Great family-owned business. We participated in the Science tour where our group of homeschoolers collected 'real' data to be used by scientists. The Staff- so friendly and engaging with our youngsters! and so knowledgeable. Our group of 11 from ages 5 - adult all learned something new.

We had a great time kayaking in St. Augustine. We showed up 30 minutes late, but they were very understanding and allowed us to still have our full 2 hours of kayaking. Kevin and AJ are really awesome and willing to do anything to help. We will definitely be going to Florida Water Tours again.
