We had a great time! The guide took his time to inform us of some unusual facts about wildlife in the region. The airboat was fun and the headset they provided gave additional information as well. The music added a nice touch. The guide took his time to spot alligators, turtles, snakes and birds and pointed to them in their natural habitat. This gave us all an opportunity to take pictures. At times the guide would go fast in the surrounding lake so that everyone could experience the speed of the boat. This tour is fun for all ages. I brought along my 18 and 20 year old sons and they had a great time! Don't miss this tour if you are visiting the St. Augustine area! It is well worth it!

This tour was amazing! First, I have to say the staff was wonderful and accommodating. When trying to book online, the site would not allow us to book more than four tickets, but we have five members of our family (2adult, 1teen, 2little). I called them, and they said if there are only four there then that's whats available, but since we had a couple small children there would be no problem adding another ticket. They stayed on the phone with me to make sure the site updated with the new ticket quantity, and all the way through the payment process to make sure I got the great discount that was available at the time. Upon the morning of the tour, we arrived to a warm welcome and clear instructions with how to prepare (where to go to sign the forms, what size life jackets for the children, bathrooms.. etc.). Our tour guide, Tyler, was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He took the time to make sure we were all comfortable and prepared, and even took pictures with our phones for us. Now we have been on an airboat tour before, but this experience blew the others away (pun intended)! We expected the beautiful views and the fun ride. We did not expect the music and stories played directly to our headphones, perfectly synched with our views and locations. This ride was also much longer than previous ones we've been, at 90 minutes. Parts of the tour were slow and serene while in the channels and "no wake" zones, were you can really take in the beautiful landscape and wildlife that Florida has to offer while listening to accompanying music and stories that really enhance the experience. Then other parts were fast and thrilling out on the open river, "jumping" our own wake, and tearing off across the water. About halfway through our tour, Tyler paused our music to talk to us about some of the animals that people typically get to see while out there, such as manatees and gators, and why we likely wouldn't be seeing them that time. He had fun stories about their seasonal habits and mating. We had the only children there so he asked us if we wanted to keep it PG, so we did and it was still entertaining, but I have a feeling he has an even better version that he tells to a mature crowd. After this small break, we promptly saw TWO gators! Surprised us all. After the tour ended, we were all given "Sea Serpent Tour" drink coozies. Then we went to the small convenience store that's at the Marina and got snacks/drinks/souvenirs, and used the clean bathrooms. Will do again!

We booked the two hour kayaking for three, one single and one double kayak. They were great to change the date and time for us because they had availability when we had a last minute scheduling conflict. They were very helpful making sure we got into and out of the kayak correctly especially the one of us who had never been kayaking before.
Since it was a Friday morning we pretty much had the creek to ourselves. They don't call it Turtle creek for nothing. We say so many sunny themselves along with all kinds of birds. We didn't see and alligator but we heard one according to the fisherman when we asked about the noise we heard and it hadn't been him falling in the creek.

We were on a family vacation in South Carolina and decided to Google air boat tours near us. Google gave us a Sea Serpent Tours as close to us so we decided to book a trip. We declined the cancelation insurance because it would have cost and extra 40% on the price and we were not planning to cancel. Upon finalizing the tour on the website we noticed it was not in South Carolina but in Florida. Right away I called the company to tell them what happened and asked if they could cancel due to the location mix up. They told us to to email them and both my wife and I email them with no response. They took payment on a trip that they were aware was made in error and would not help us resolve it causing us to pay for a trip we could not use. Kinda disappointing that a company would not make it right with this kind of mistake. Very poor experience for us.

We are very sorry that you missed your scheduled tour with us, as it is our belief that had you taken the tour you would have enjoyed it. Many of the negative reviews written about our company is from folks like yourself that either missed or was unable to attend their scheduled tour for a variety of reasons. You are absolutely correct in your statement that without cancellation protection, it is our company policy to not cancel, reschedule, or refund for any reason whatsoever. We get clients from South Carolina frequently taking our tour, as the tour that you booked is the closest airboat tour to South Carolina, and is rated very highly among a large majority of folks that take the tour.
We do hope to see you again in the future, as we would love to have your feedback on the actual tour itself.

The owners were very nice, We accidently booked out adventure for the wrong day. When I called and explained what happened they were very accommodating and was able to rebook the day and time we wanted with no issues. When we got there everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had an great time and experience.

Fun, entertaining and educational! The high speed airboat thrilled the kids (ages 8 & 10). Our captain was very informative and pointed out many alligators, turtles & cottonmouths. Only took away one point because it felt a little disorganized when we arrived at the marina. We were instructed to arrive 30 min early but no one arrived until right at the time of our tour. Perhaps the pandemic may have affected staffing, but our captain did his best to entertain everyone and we were happy with the tour overall.

We took the airboat ride at 10:00 am on a cloudy, drizzly, chilly day in March. Despite the weather, we found it to be really fun, exciting, educational and entertaining. Our tour guide/ driver gave us a lot of information about alligators and the ecology of the natural area of Trout Creek, and also told stories and jokes which were really interesting. The recorded music and storytelling heard through the earphones was very enjoyable and entertaining. We saw several smaller size alligators and several types of birds. I would recommend wearing a light raincoat or poncho with a hood with a drawstring if it is cool or rainy, because you do get a lot of wind on your face during the ride. We will definitely go on the Sea Serpent Tours airboat ride again when we visit the St. Augustine area.

My family went on the Sea Serpent Tour on a cool, cloudy day in February. Because the weather was not so great, we weren't really expecting to see much wildlife. We were wrong. As soon as we put on the headphones we were treated to stories and songs of the local area, plus a few more. We saw gators, birds, and a variety of animals. It was one of the best tours we were on while on vacation! Kudo's to the Captain for making it such a fun day. Make sure to bring a warm jacket!

For the second time, we had the most enjoyable time on board the Sea Serpent. It is well worth the cost and you can bring snacks and drinks aboard to make it even more fun. We did not see much wildlife but that is hit or miss...but an the end of the tour we spotted a large manatee that Captain Mike made sure we took time to witness below the surface.

This was one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Florida! Captain Mike was a fantastic tour guide with a big personality..even has a delicious sandwich named after him at a local bbq spot;-) The boat tour took you down the beautiful St John’s River which was just beautiful scenery. We were hoping to see more gators, but even though we didn’t see a ton of them we still loved this experience! Would book all over again with or without the alligators. Much of the tour was at a nice peaceful speed where you could take pictures and enjoy the view, but he would also speed it up and give you some excitement in between. It was really just so well done! We went with our family of 4 but this would be fun for anyone I imagine. Definitely at the top of our list when we go back to visit!

Our rentals are available every day except Mondays and holidays. Rental rates are $25 per hour, $40 for two hours, and $60 for a half day for our Hydrobikes, kayaks, and paddle boards.

If you are touring with us on the airboat, recommend that you bring a light jacket or sweatshirt. It can be stored under the seat if not needed. Long pants or shorts are usually fine.
If you are renting a kayak, Hydrobike, or paddle board, shorts or bathing suit us best.

Yes, there are no age restrictions. All passengers must be able to sit in their own seats, no lap sitting or car seats allowed.
