San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. All together, San Sebastian labels have won over 1,600 awards for excellence in winemaking, with more coming in each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida and Georgia. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. The Cellar Upstairs features incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine, draft beer and light appetizers.

My husband and I loved our stop at San Sebastian Winery. They weren't offering official tours that day, but said we could do a self guided tour which was pretty much just walking station to station for our tastings. For us, this was much better...More

I went here with my son on a whim since we were already close by. We had a great time. The tour was very informative and our guide was very knowledgeable, especially when it came time for the wine tasting portion. Even though we drove...More

After spending the morning at the beach, we visited the winery, toured the downstairs and then went upstairs to eat, have a couple of drinks and listen to some music . Our server was very pleasant and helpful when it came to choosing our beverages...More

I loved the idea of tasting wines along the tour path, rather than all at a bar atmosphere. It provided the opportunity to talk to four different people about the winery history and the wines themselves. All of the wines were excellent and we purchased...More

Husband and I toured the winery and visited the upstairs bar. We were pleased. This was our first time going to the outside bar on the roof. Drinks and food moderately priced and the live music was enjoyable. Atmosphere was kicked back and carefree! Met...More

I would rather pay for a better tasting experience but that's just me. You are given a plastic cup to taste wine and are herded like cattle from one tasting station to the next. The stations are as small as a wine barrel so the...More

We visited the San Sebastian winery with my parents earlier this month and went on the tour. Being from CA and spending ample time in Napa, we weren't sure what to expect. The 'winery' is on a busy street with no vines to be seen....More

Overall, not impressive. Yes, it's a free wine tasting. However, when we went it was a "self-guided tour" with stops where you tried two different wines. You get a tiny plastic cup (I mean tiny) and taste a splash of 8 different wines. All but...More

It was a very informative tour. We enjoyed it very much, and of course, the tastings. Also they have good prices.
