San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St....

San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Vintage-dated varietals from hybrids such as Stover and Blanc Du Bois are produced and marketed along with blended and sparkling wines from native Muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are also produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. Together, these labels have won many awards for excellence in winemaking, over 300 so far with more to come each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. Open on weekends, featuring incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine and light appetizers.

The self-guided tour was very nice, since we could go at our own pace. We watched the entire short video about the process and found it very informative. There was quite a variety of choices to taste, which was nice.

With the philosophy of "we try harder" they excel at not only providing a fine selection of wine, but also a friendly atmosphere for store services, regular tour and tastings, and a patio roof entertainment area that attracts a lot of young people, especially on weekends evenings. One of the few wineries that is located inside a town, it makes... More

After seeing it so many times, my friends decide to stop in here. We liked how you toured the winery while doing the tastings. We enjoy many of the wines and bought a few bottles when we were finished. Worth visiting, especially if keen on trying different regions of wines.

Awesome experience. First time in a winery, it was interesting. Walked towards the back of the gift shop and the bar was there. Worker handed me a cup and bam you begin the tour. I like the idea of going through the winery and tasting everything they make. Many options to choice from and wonderful to see how the barrels... More

Located down the street from the harbor, across from the police station and near the distillery is this hidden gem. There is a brief movie history of the winery before you are escorted to the tasting room. You get to try at least 10 small samples and then have the opportunity to buy any you choose. ( or not) There... More

Staff could have been a little friendlier. Self guided tour, purchased a bottle just because. Wines are ok. ABC liquor across the street offered more enthusiasm

Did the tour. Wine was mediocre in my opinion but others I heard thought it was very good. Worth the time to try. There is ample parking

We visited on our anniversary and stayed at the Peace & Plenty B&B so we walked. The tour was relatively short and the wine tasting was nice. The shop there is interesting and we purchased several wines, port, and sherry along with some nice glass corks.

If this is your first winery visit you'll probably think it's 5 stars, but once you've done a few this one's really only ok. Offsite facility, so theres no rolling fields of grapes or anything. Staff doing the tasting was not really into it. Wine was fine, nothing you'll be shipping home. One of only a couple lackluster stops on... More
