San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St....

San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Vintage-dated varietals from hybrids such as Stover and Blanc Du Bois are produced and marketed along with blended and sparkling wines from native Muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are also produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. Together, these labels have won many awards for excellence in winemaking, over 300 so far with more to come each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. Open on weekends, featuring incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine and light appetizers.

The tour was very easy to do on a Saturday at noon. Not crowded and generous pours of free wine to sample and convenient buckets to pour out the kinds you didn't like. Very pleasant staff with lots of information about their product.

Beautiful old facility with fun tours and friendly staff. Very complete wine store and gift shop. Wines limited to a table red and an average Chardonnay plus the usual assortment of muscadine wines. Enjoy the tour

Well worth the time of the wine tasting tour and lunch in an outside setting. Several options of wine to taste. The presentation was great and learned things we did not know about wines from FL. Highly recommend tour and lunch.

Free parking with a free tour and free tastings. A tour started within minutes of our arrival. We watched a short video then tasted about eight wines from white to red, dry to sweet dessert wines. The guide shared good basic information, how to hold a glass, what to look for, the importance of a good swirl, then smell, etc.... More

The tour was nice, had a video to watch on some history of the winery. Tour wasn't to long then on to the tasting. Our guy was very informative about each of the wines that we tasted. The shopping area was very nice, lots of things to choose from.

Visiting San Sebastian is not just a wine tasting, it is an experience! They offer a very informative tour and a very generous wine tasting. The guides are always so knowledgeable and entertaining. The wine is good and priced very reasonably. This is the wine-tasting experience I wish I could have at all wineries.

On the website it said the winery closes at 6 so we got there at 5 hoping to do one of the last tours but it had already started and was full. Website should give times of tours and tell you to make a reservation, so sadly we did not get to go on the tour. Call for tour times.... More
