We visited the Old Jail on a day that looked like rain. The free parking is a nice bonus. We were able to get a combo price with the Oldest Store Museum tour. Enjoyment of this attractions seems to be based mainly on 3 things: The tour guide, the number of people on the tour and your interest level in... More

My parents and I took a trip to the Old Jail on 6/18/16 and were lucky enough to meet and be guided through the jail by Sam Fisher, who turned out to be much more than a tour guide. Immediately we felt as though we had stepped back in time. Not only is Mr. Sam Fisher an extremely authentic guide... More

This was a very small jail located in the Old Town in St. Augustine. The tour guide made a very great narrator and had audience participation throughout. There is a minimal fee, as with all other attractions within St. Augustine, and if you have never visited a jail before (for fun), I recommend taking the tour. I even was lucky... More

We visited the jail at night during a ghost tour. Learning the history of the jail when it is dark makes it all the more interesting...and creepy!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Old Jail, excellent tour guide. Liked that once the tour was over we could wander around and take photographs.

The old jail is a tourist attraction wrapped in a historic cloak. You will enjoy the tour and wonder at the jail cells. Worth the visit

Make this a must-see on your list of trolley stops! It's air-conditioned, if that helps at all! We were fascinated to hear about the historical facts about the old jail, and learned a lot about the life of male and female prisoners back in the day. Don't miss it.

The old jail is a good attraction for older children. The stories are very graphic and morbid. My husband and I had the good fortune of be lead by "Deputy Fisher". He did a excellent job of conveying the story as if he was speaking from experience and "sharing" the story with you that made the attraction more fun for... More

Many of the people I met raved about their visit to the Old Jail. They must have gotten a better guide. Mine was having an "off" day. It was hot, and he was not interested in questions or any side observations. Might be looking for a new job by now.

AMAZING TOUR, A MUST FOR EVERYONE!! We purchased an old town trolly tour pass and received admission to the jail tour for only $6 more! Highly recommend to anyone. Our tour guide was energetic, was great in his character as a jail prisoner, and we learned lot of interesting things! If you decide to do this and you enjoy it... More
